ew sick. I can't say I am surprised though. I worked in retail for years and people would leave used pads and tampons on the fitting room floor like it was NBD... people are disgusting!!

This is pretty gross, but I don't expect that a minimum wage employee is going to be diligent about this sort of thing all the time... I guess the moral of the story is make sure you check anything you're trying on yourself. :\

I will say I worked in a bar for a few years and the women's washroom was WAY worse than the men's. Lots of stuff left everywhere, bad cat fights, etc.

Honestly, what more did she want them to do? It's entirely possible that the customer rehung the bottom herself and he associate stuck it back on the floor without looking. They apologized and gave her a discount for the experience... What did she expect them to do? I'm sure that bikini was promptly damaged and thrown away after.
I worked there for 4 years. After seeing women try to return underwear with blood and skid marks, nothing surprises me. Women are disgusting.

Not really surprised, honestly! I think we have all had accidental period issues and probably not noticed them, ya know? And it could have entirely been on purpose, too, who knows!

I know people generally don't follow store policy, but I always keep my underwear on when trying on swim suits...

@loveisstrange I was going to say, I'm sure to the women working at VS this was no surprise at all. I've been in there watching some of the nasty stuff people try to return after years of wear...
I don't blame the VS employees either. I never checked the crotch of pants I put away to make sure no one stained them...

@.twist. I kid you not... Luckily we had rubber gloves and stuff to deal with it but it was not uncommon all. People would leave trash, dirty diapers, whatever... I don't miss those days!

I agree with @loveisstrange: that it's entirely possible that the offending customer rehung the bottoms herself. I mean, obviously the girl didn't even notice until AFTER she tried it on, so it seems unreasonable that she is so infuriated that someone else didn't notice it. However I do think that the store should have been more apologetic, and offered a free swim suit.

I worked at Charlotte Russe Corporate office for a summer, in the Facilities Maintenance Department. I was SHOCKED when I got a call in the morning on the first day that someone had defecated in the dressing room. That was not my only call that day about that, and I got multiple calls several times a day all summer! Pee, poop, blood, vomit, used condoms... you name it!
People can be nasty!!
