I have a hard time buying shoes and i really hate boots. I have big wide feet with a high instep and larger calves. for the last 2-3 winters i've been getting by with a pair of my husbands old work boot wolverines as snow boots. I read a post about boots today and they featured these awesome Sorel boots i didnt care the cost i had to have them (not bad at $150) and i can't find them any where in my size. I'm so disappointed

So my boots arrived yesterday... they are beautiful! except due to my high arches i cant get my foot in them
i'm really glad i bought them through a retailer and i can return them but i'm still grieving.....

@oliviaoblivia: ahh, I was referencing the rain boots - I haven't tried them in heavy duty ice or snow (I live in the Pacific Northwest and we have very mild winters), but they feel pretty sturdy in normal snow conditions (which for us is like 3 inches max, haha). Haven't tried their snow boots but maybe worth checking since the brand is so reliable?

I totally bit it on an icy sidewalk a few years ago wearing hunters. I'm still hunting for the perfect winter boot.
