My LO (11 weeks) always goes from sound asleep to full-out crying with nothing in-between. Is this normal? I wish he would wake up happy once in a while!

I feel like my LO went through a phase like this but he outgrew it.

Has your LO always done this or is this new? I think DS started doing that around 11/12 weeks. Now it is about 50/50. (He's 18 weeks) SOmetimes he wakes up screaming!

DS still does this, especially when napping. He's 18 weeks now. When does it END?

My son did this for a while too, but only until he was about 12 weeks. Now (13.5 months) he wakes up babbling and cooing - so sweet!

I can't wait for that to happen. The crying is so disconcerting!

@mrsbookworm: I remember that feeling - it was really unsettling to think that he was unhappy even before starting the day! Hang in there - it really does get SO much better.
