To refer to your SO as Daddy/Mommy when your first LO was born?
DH is DS's step dad so he's always been referred to by first name. But it feels very natural to refer to him as Daddy for M. DH is already used to referring me to Mom for DS.

Easy because I already called him daddy to our dogs! Haha! Hope you're all doing well with M and recovery is going well

Easy! My husband refers to me as mama 90% of the time now, even in normal conversations.

@Mrs. Champagne: haha same! I always called him daddy to our dog (still do!) But he didn't start calling me mommy until after LO was born.
We only do it when she's around though...

yea easy!
Sometimes I still feel weird calling myself his mom! But my husband was already dad for our other two boys.

Very easy. Sometimes I catch myself calling DH daddy when it's just the two of us.

Easy but it was harder getting used to calling my parents grandma and grandpa. I constantly still refer to them as mom and dad when talking to lo. She's too young to be confused yet!

We were also Mommy & Daddy to our dog
It was weird to hear other people refer to us as Mommy & Daddy though!

A little awkward in our case. Only because i want to call him daddy, and everyone in my family does too. But DH has two kids from a previous marriage who call him papa. So the daddy/dad/papa thing is confusing at times.
I will let LO decide what to call him eventually, but daddy is natural to me.

Easy! But we called each other that while she was in the womb too. Also, he's been 'dad' to our dog, too

@MsMini: lol!
Ours was easy & natural
Except for my being called mama. I would cringe when DH (or anyone) referred to me as mama in the first 2-3 moths. Now, I am all about it.

Easy when DD is around, but kinda awkward if I slip up and call him 'Daddy' or 'Dada' when she's not around.

We call each other daddy/mommy already when talking about our dog lol

I know it will be easy for us because we already call each other "daddy" and "mommy" to our dogs. Plus when my pregnant belly is "talking" to my DH, he already says it calls him daddy haha. Too cute.
