We sleep trained DD at 6.5 months by staying in the room until she fell asleep, and then once she was fine with that, we used a mix of Ferber and just letting her fuss it out til she fell asleep. I was hoping to have amazing results like many of the stories I have heard on here. Her sleep is much, much better than before (was waking up 3-5 times a night before we sleep trained), but it is still far from perfect. Some nights, like last night, she started this sad crying 5-10 minutes after she fell asleep so I went in and rocked her because I had no clue what was wrong. I am always so worried when she wakes crying like that she is either teething or has a tummy ache or something. Some nights she wakes at 12am to feed, others she wakes at 3am, its all so random. Most nights it's just 1 feed, but some nights its 2 feeds and I am too tired and lazy to let her CIO because I just think, its only 1 night and what if she is really hungry. I am not sure if the problem is my incosistency and lack of rigidness, or if it is just still normal for her to need 1-2 night feeds and the occassional rocking to sleep.

Did anyone else sleep train and not have these amazing results like you read about?
