We had 2m shots yesterday and ever since he has been like a different baby. I've mentioned before that he doesn't cry. Since the shots he has been wailing, even when I hold him, off and on. It is so sad! I expected "fussiness" but not total meltdowns. He was able to sleep a nice long stretch from evening to 3a and seemed a bit better after that. Still, no smiles anymore. :(This is normal right?

I was just about to post a question asking how 2 mo shots went because my boys get theirs tomorrow; I'm so nervous about how they'll feel. I hope your LO feels much better by in the morning!

My son was inconsolable after his. A hot shower and massages seemed to help.

My son slept for an exceptionally long time and was clingy the next day.

My girl was alternately really sleepy and really fussy and ran a low grade fever for a couple days.

My LO cried when she got the shots but she didn't have any lingering side effects.

DD was fine and even playing until 8 hours later, she spiked a fever, screamed and went limp in my arms! Scared the crap out of me. The fever passed that night but she was fussy for a couple of days after.

We are getting these today. Well as long as she can with having a stuffy nose. DH traveled lady week and now R and I got what he had. She has been fussy enough from that, so shots too are going to suck!

the 2 month shots were the worst so far. she didn't have a fever, but her leg was all hot and a little swollen where she got the shots and she was screaming in pain for like 2 hours. we gave her tylenol and then a warm bath and massaged her leg. then she was fine afterwards.

my lo didn't have any immediate reactions to his 2month shots...but 4 hours later, he was crying at the top of his lungs for several hours
he eventually fell asleep after we cuddled with him...he slept for awhile. the next day he was fine...

Yup. About 24 hours of cranky pain.

very sleepy and sudden bouts of inconsolable crying that lasted maybe 2-3 days.

yes, my daughter was miserable. it was so sad. the only thing that helped was tylenol and nursing, though even when nursing she'd intermittenly cry. I think she was sore! I mean, I get sore after the tetanus shot, never mind if I had never really been sore before in my life. she was okay after 2 days.

LO had her shots in the early afternoon, slept for 3 hours afterward. She woke up screaming. She isn't really a cryer but she cried like crazy. It actually only lasted about an hour but it felt like forever. She was not as smiley for the rest of the day but was back to normal by the next day. We're due for three month shots in a few days - I'm hoping it's a little better!

LO was very, very sleepy that day and the next, and had a low grade fever for 2 days. But then he was back to normal by day 3.

thanks everyone! 24 hours later I THINK things are improving. he has had a few little crying spells today but will usually stop if I hold him & is smiling again.
I just feel so awful for him. and I don't think I mentioned that my DH has been out of town through all of this! AGH! maybe for the four month shots I'll go hide somewhere and let him be in charge on his own! just kidding. but I hope they aren't this bad.
