I keep hearing "first babies are always late!" but when I talk to people, most have said that their first came early. What was your experience?
My older sibling came on his due date, I was #2 and 8 days late!

DS was born 2 days before his due date. All of our nephews on DH's side came early--the one born the latest was still like 3 weeks early, so we were prepared for an early baby, but he was nearly right on time.
DH was two weeks early. My oldest brothers are twins and they were almost two weeks late. My third brother was a week late, and I was 18 days late.

Due date baby. But early in the pregnancy the dating ultrasound moved her due date forward, she was born on the date fertility friend calculated based on my charts.

@septemberlove: Yeah...the claim they had a dating ultrasound, but I'm still not convinced the doctors had the date right to start with. But in any case she was set on one date and it passed and then almost three weeks went by before I showed up...and when I came it was fast, I was nearly born in the hospital parking lot!

A lot of people I know actually went early but that's because they were induced early due to other reasons. I went 4 days late.

She came a day after my original due date but according to the doctors a week late. The doctor had changed my due date based on the 12-week scan but I knew the window of conception so I say she was right on time

2 days early. I think all of the walking I did the weekend before and super soft cervix got him here early. His due date was a Thursday. I went into labor on Monday night and had him on Tuesday morning.

She arrived a week after her edd. Personally I think due dates are silly, and she came when she was ready.

DS was 2 weeks 2 days early. But because of my blood pressure my dr didn't want me going past 39 weeks anyway. So I'm glad he came a little early and on his own!

LO arrived as scheduled on his due date. We always joke that he's a very punctual baby.
