Charlie was way bigger than I expected, though his weight estimate was spot on (In my experience they usually overestimate). And Olive was way smaller than I expected even though she was 5 weeks early.

smaller! And he still is.
He was 7 lbs at birth, I expected him to be at least 7.5 or 8. I also expected him to be chubby as a baby, and he stayed petite (5-10% through his first year).

A little bigger? We were expecting between 9lbs and 10lbs. She was 10lbs8oz.

A little bigger, but again when she came out I remember saying how small she was. She was 6lbs 9oz.

A little smaller. We knew we were having a small baby, but I thought he'd be over 6 lbs....he was only 5 lbs 5 oz!

i thought i was going to have a 8lb-er but he was 6.2lbs. then again, he was 2.5wks early so he probably would've been 8lbs if i delivered later.

Way smaller. When I was having ultrasounds, he was always measuring large. I guess that's a good thing because he came 6 weeks early and weighed 4.5 lbs.

A lot bigger. We were expecting ~7lbs, he was 8lb 12oz

He was about what we expected, but was bigger than our midwifes estimate. She guessed around 6.5 lbs and he was 7lbs 7oz.

Smaller! She was 6lbs 7ounces. I was 8lbs 6ounces and my husband was 7lbs 2ounces (and is now 6'6" 250lbs) so we thought we would have a bigger baby. As of my 36 week ultrasound they were estimating she would be 8lbs. Nope, she was my little peanut.

A little bigger than I expected, though a little smaller than the U/S tech predicted!

She was almost exactly the size I thought she would be. I figured she'd always be right between our birth weights and she pretty much was. She was smaller than they estimated though.

A little bigger. Though, I was a week late. Had she been born on her due date she probably would have weighed as I expected.

I asked my OB in the last weeks of my pregnancy how big she thought he would be. She said between 6-7 lbs which is pretty average. He weighed 7lbs. 6oz at birth.

A little bigger than expected. I assumed she'd be around 6.5lbs like me when I was born. She was 7lbs7oz.

I thought LO would be between 6 - 7 lbs. He was so tiny at 5 lbs 13 oz. What surprised everyone was how tall he was for such a tiny baby -- 21 inches! All the doctors had me worrying that I would make him too big with my GD.

I expected him to be around 7 lbs, but he was 8 lbs 9 oz!
@yin: That is an amazing length for such a tiny little guy. My LO was 21.5 inches but weighed almost 3 lbs more than yours! Did he stay long and lean?

Wayyyy bigger! My husband and I are not big people (I'm 5 feet and he's 5'7")...and we're both not big boned at all. We were both under 7lbs at birth (but he was several weeks early). Everyone told me my LO would be small so I should buys newborn clothes...LO was 2 days late and was 8lbs 8oz...we were in the hospital for 4 days and she barely fit into the newborn going home outfit...she was in 0-3 months immediately

About what we expected. I consistently measured a couple of weeks behind so I sort of figured i wasn't having a super large baby. i was expecting around 7 - 8 lbs and she was 7 lbs 6 oz.

Smaller - they estimated him at 7 lbs 13 oz and I knew he wouldn't be much bigger than that, but he was 7 lbs even.

Much smaller! Her estimated weight based upon ultrasounds was 9.5 lbs and she was born at 7 lbs, 10 oz.

My midwife and both attending doctors who saw me during labor said dd would probably be around 7 pounds ... But she was a tiny 5lbs 1oz (full term)! I was totally suprised because dh was 7-12 and I was 7-2 .... Though I guess that doesn't always matter!

Bigger. We were expecting a 7 something pound girl. She came out just a hair under 9.

Smaller, with both. With DS I was told he was going to be at least 9 pounds!! I am only 5'3 so I was freaking out, but he was 7.2lbs and super short. DD was 7.1lbs and she was estimated to be about 8lbs.

I had GDM so I was expecting a 9 lb'er. She wasn't petite by any means though at 7 lbs 12 oz.

Smaller by almost a pound. They estimated her at 7lb 11oz and she weighed 6lb 14oz.
