I'm not into fancy watches, but I do want something that's easy on the eyes, comfy, and affordable. I've had 2 swatch watches both with leather straps in the past year die on me. I need a new watch, but getting sick of swatch. Any recommendations?

My watch is like this one (with a blue background). It's the same style I have worn for years and years. My Citizen watch was the first gift my dh ever gave me (back in 2003!!) and I still wear it. It's the Citizen Eco-drive.

No suggestions but I am interested as well. I haven't worn a watch in years because I haven't found one that I like.

I have a Toywatch! They're called "plasteramic"... the look of ceramic, but made of plastic so they're super lightweight! I love it... I get compliments on it ALL the time. I have a mini plasteramic in white.

@mrs. wagon: i totally want a rosegold watch, and have some seen some really cute toywatches. i want one! you can't ever have too many watches. i prefer them to bracelets.

@Mrs. Bee: ME TOO. I rarely wear bracelets because I always have a watch on! It shocks me when people only own one watch... or none!
I shopped around last week for a rose gold watch but all the faces were too big. Everything is 40 mm case diameter... I think I need a 32! I absolutely LOVE the look of rose gold but there wasn't a single watch in Nordstrom I would have bought. The one rose gold watch with a smaller face was all blinged out and it was just too much. I think it was a Marc Jacobs.

I want a La Mer watch, but I saw some at Target and they seemed like cheap quality materials. Are the ones online the same as the ones sold at Target?

I have an obsession with Fossil watches. They have lots of great styles! I have 2, a yellow gold and a stainless steel, I wear one of them everyday. They're great for the price, usually around $100, and have a good warranty. If you're lucky enough to have a Fossil outlet near you then you'll have even more options!

@mrs. wagon: i love rose gold but all the watches i've seen just look more cheap pink than that beautiful warm rose gold color esp. the michael kors one that I really wanted to like but couldn't.

DH got me this watch for Christmas. I love it a lot. It's the Fossil Stella Crystal Topring Watch in rose gold. I tried on the MK rose gold as well and this one looked much better on me (I have very small wrists).

@mediagirl: I have a citizen eco-drive too and I LOVE it! @hergreenapples: Mine is a very similar style to this but in silver.

I didn't realize I wanted a rose gold watch until I read this thread!
I rarely wear a watch, but I was thinking of a getting the Timex Weekender. I also used to wear a Swatch, and I feel like the Weekender is in that same sort of casual/fun category, but has a different style to it. (I would get a brightly colored nylon strap.) Plus it's crazy cheap!
