Baby Grizz and I had a rocky start to breastfeeding. Vacuum delivery, birth trauma, engorgement, flat nipples, disinterest in latching by baby Grizz, syringe feeding, oversupply, nipple shields, mastitis - you name it. I sobbed every day his first week home because I desperately wanted to just nurse him instead of using a syringe. DH told me we were just going to take it one day at a time.

One day turned into a week, which turned into a month, which has turned into 2 months today! My LC told me just to get to two months and it would be easier. I realized we had made it today when we were sitting outside, he showed hunger cues, and I was able to just kick my foot up on my chair, unsnap my tank, and nurse him without a thought!

We made it, C! I never thought we would get to this day but here we are. Now to get through the next 10 months - Goal #2!
