I got it. I thought it was more blog than newsletter. I was expecting the newsletter to be more about the website in general.

I got it! I immediately thought, 'Oh, this must be the newsletter!" I dunno. Maybe cuz I keep signing up for the newsletter when there are giveaways but kept not getting anything, so I was sort of looking for it?

@mrbee: You may want to consider doing the top posts of the week in the newsletter instead of a blog post. Then it would draw in those that don't frequent the site every day, but have signed up for the newletter

Got it! I too was a bit confused, and thought maybe it was a new feature where you get emailed the blog posts. Similar to how when you subscribe to a blog on the webs, you get sent it's content in your email. If that makes sense.
But fun none the less!

@babynumber1: Bee and I are subscribed to a bunch of newsletters like that, and we've noticed that after a while we stop reading them. So we're trying something a bit different here... we'll experiment some more with the format over the coming weeks!

I got it and agree with what most people are saying; the lack of design made it really confusing. I thought it was something I had received by mistake.

I got it and I figured it was the newsletter. This is how it looked to me in my email. The font is so small and it looked like so much text so I didn't read it. Sorry. I do agree with others in that maybe there should at least be a header.

Got it and didn't read it. But only because I don't have a toddler yet and I purge emails ASAP because I get so many! I'll definitely read in the future when it's a topic I'm interested in.

I got it...and it was super timely because my LO has been throwing tantrums like crazy recently!
I will admit though that I haven't read it yet. It looked like a super lengthy email to me and like others, I would prefer a header and more design to make it look less like plain ol' text. It's kinda like thread posts that are crazy long paragraphs (or no paragraphs at all...yikes) that I'm too lazy to skim over - but not as bad.

Got it, everyone else already mentioned the header/graphics. I skimmed it, but didn't really read it. It sounded like a blog post to me. I'd rather see news about the website, maybe a list of members on the forum who gave birth that month,snippets of funny or thought provoking posts someone made on the blog/forums with a link to it, a list of the blogs published in the month, anything new coming up, or a contest/product review, etc.
The content this month just didn't engage me because my LO isn't at the age of having tantrums and there was nothing else to draw me in.

@honeybear: the newsletter went out this morning around 8 am or so? So if you signed up after that, you would receive the next newsletter… but not this one.
I'm currently dropping off some blankets at the laundromat, but after I get back to my desk then I'll send you a copy of this morning's newsletter!
