Ooooh, I really like @LemonLong's suggestion! Especially the list of members who gave birth! I'd love that! And I agree - the content of this newsletter was so specific and didn't really apply to me at all and there was nothing else to it, so I kind of felt meh about it.

@LemonLong: sounds like you'd prefer a more traditional newsletter format? We may experiment along those lines in coming weeks…
Over time, we will probably have to figure out a way to target our emails by the age of each person's baby… and maybe split up the newsletter into separate TTC, pregnancy, and parenting newsletters? We're not quite there yet, but hopefully launching our newsletter is the first step in that direction!

I love @LemonLong: ideas. That is what a newsletter to me should be. This was just a blog post. I would rather have a newsletter with highlights from say the last month in the blog. Such as CIO was a hot topic and include links to the threads about it.

@Adira: I don't think we have the resources right now to pull together a weekly list of members who gave birth! Maybe over time we can make a newsletter that's more community oriented... not quite there yet though!

@honeybear: Ok it turns out that resending the email to a smaller list of people is a decent amount of work...
I'll wait til the end of the day to see if anyone else is interested, then try to send it at that time to everyone who has expressed interest!

got it ... the only indication that it might have been a newsletter was the unsubscribe link at the bottom, but even then i thought maybe you started emailing blog posts.

@mrbee: Got it! I was a little confused at first, but I did read it after figuring it out it was mass email. As someone whose job includes newsletter publication, I think it's awesome that you are so receptive to all this feedback--adds to what I love about the community feel of HB. Very cool that you are going to experiment...looking forward to seeing what else you try!
