Wow, having to wait until your 1 year anniversary seems like a really, really long time. I don't care if June is a busy wedding month..she's had an entire year to get them and be in contact with you. I would definitely send another e-mail (I like having proof of what was said and when) saying you will be calling her within the week if you haven't heard from her. Does she have a studio where you can drop by and see her in person? I definitely would not let this go, I would be very persistent.

Yeah, I've never heard of having to wait one year. I'd keep emailing.

I'm a wedding planner, and I know every vendor is different and there are differences by region, but having to wait a year for your album is a LONG time! Regardless of that, your contract clearly states when you should receive it and you haven't yet. She at least owes you the courtesy of a response, so you can know the status. Try again via e-mail and phone. Try her on a Tuesday or Wednesday - trying to reach a wedding vendor Friday through Monday this time of year can be rough as we're always at events or recovering from them

Does she have a studio that you could stop by when you just coincidentally happen to be "in the area" (in the event that she still doesn't respond)? I'm helping a client deal with a similar situation (non-responsive photog) and the only times we have gotten answers from him have been when we've dropped by unannounced or called from other people's phones (so he wouldn't recognize the numbers). Hopefully you won't have to go to such lengths!

I would be soooo pissed. A year is way too long to wait to begin with! I would call and bug her till I got the albums.

I would give her a call, maybe the email got lost or put into spam or something! You signed a contract, & she should come through on her part! Good luck

I would make another call/email saying if she doesn't respond within ___ date, I'd have to resort to making an official complaint. If she doesn't respond, I'll write a letter/email with my intentions on submitting an official complaint with the BBB. Be sure to save all written documents for the BBB.

So sorry you have to go through this. But if she's charging money for her services, she NEEDS to deliver, no matter how nice she may be, it just isn't right!

We had a similar situation with our photographer who was a family friend. It took over 6 months to get proofs from our wedding and then another 6 months to get our album. I'm not sure if she thought that since we were family friends that she could push us back to focus on other clients or what, but I'll NEVER use her again.

@autumnlove: I hope she responds soon too and that your album is FANTASTIC. Thankfully once we FINALLY got our album, we loved it and she threw in a Mini-Album for free (probably because she felt guilty for giving us the runaround for so long).

I agree that you should stay on top of it. I had major problems with our wedding photographer not getting us our photos over and over again. It seemed like she always had an excuse, and she kept promising them by a certain date and never delivering. When she finally got them to us I defriended her from Facebook lol (she was a wife of a guy who my best friend boyfriend was friends with, one of those) just because I was so effing fed up with having her in my life. So I feel your pain. I was contacting her like once every couple of days near the end. She had the nerve to offer to do our maternity pictures for free... no thanks. If she took that long and we paid her, how unprofessional would she be if she did a job for free?

It's just so hard since you've already paid them, it's so frustrating! I hope you get what you were promised soon!

We got married October 16, proofed the pictures/approved album design within 3 weeks, picked up prints and albums 3 weeks after that.
