Finally having half a cup of coffee at almost 3 mo mark of BF! Feeling like a I deserve it haha. I was going to go for decaf but I asked DH last night how they make coffee decaf and he said "chemicals" lol.

@snowjewelz: AH! I never wondered that. Here I am applauding myself for not drinking coffee (or any liquid caffeine) during this whole 6+ months of breastfeeding and that never crossed my mind.
Off to google!!!
To answer the question, I'm doing good - been having work stress (and as a result some home stress), but nothing too big. Just waiting for everything to shake out.

@LBee: Nice, good job mama! I hope to make it to 6 mos next! I ask the most random things hahaha. So I figured having some caffeine is better than having chemicals!

@snowjewelz: I do 3 month increment goals, too! 3-6 was LOADS easier than 0 to 3. I just have to make it to 9 mos and then I can quit pumping at work (I have enough frozen to make it to a year). The end is in sight!!!

I am tired this morning! DS was up every hour last night until i pulled him into bed with us at 4:30am.
@snowjewelz: @LBee: LOL, yes decaf is actually worse only because of the chemicals, but the swiss water process decaf is okay. I allowed myself a half cup of coffee here and there (enjoying a cappucino right now). I was a lot better with my first - no coffee for 6 months!

I'm in a weird spot. Had my 1st prenatal appt on Monday and saw an empty gestational sac that wasn't large enough to be considered a blighted ovum yet so we're in limbo for the next 1.5 weeks with blood work in between. As sad as I am, it hasn't hit me full on yet for some reason so I'm "okay" every day. Doesn't help that I'm still displaying pregnancy symptoms. Arg!

I thought it was ok to have some caffeine while breastfeeding. Like 200mg a day or less like when you're pregnant. I had no idea about decaf having chemicals in it! That totally makes sense though.
I've been feeling a little nauseated the last few days, and it has made me so scared that I'm pregnant. I even tested the other day because I was so worried! It was negative. I'm only 7 months post partum after a veryyyy hard pregnancy, so I am not ready at all yet!

@Alivoo01: I'm sorry
@snowjewelz: Everything has chemicals some are worse than others though lol
@Mrs.ThinMint: You can totally have caffeine. Se babies can tolerate and some can't. Kellymom explains more - supposedly you have to have a LOT for it to keep baby up! I drink at least a mug a day and it doesn't affect my LO (7 weeks).

Oh fast food sounds sooo good. I'm doing weight watchers which makes me automatically want to eat all the food.
