LO is 5 months and I am getting ready to purchase an exersaucer....BUT I just noticed the weight limit on the one I'm looking at (baby einstein) is 25 lbs... my son is already at least 20 lbs. maybe 21 or 22!
Does this limit really apply??

Holy, are you sure he's actually 20+ pounds! That's one champion eater you've got mama!
I've always assumed the weight limits referred to two things: (1) that they safety tested the device to that weight and anything past that may not be safe and (2) that they are using the average weight for whatever the end age for using the product should be. So I would assume from the weight limit that they intend for the product to be used up to a year (the average weight of a one year old is 21 or 22 pounds). Calling Baby Einstein would be an idea in case it's an arbitrary restriction.
On an unrelated note, we have an exersaucer and jumper by Baby Einstein and they both are built quite tall. Our daughter at 10 months is 29 inches and 16lbs and is still on the lowest height setting, so its something to consider if your baby isn't particularly tall.

Dd is 31lbs and she likes to climb into it.
At 8 months DS is 22lbs and it's fine for him.
We have a baby Einstein

@JessicaMcB: @chopsuey: Thank you both! Just didn't want to get it and be done with it in like 3 weeks.
He has always been a champion eater, haha! Like...even the nurses were cracking up when he was born HANGRY & looking for mom! He was 19 last time we went to the dr..over a month ago. I think he is going to be super tall like dad.

@charlotte: I bet it would be a perfect exersaucer for him then based on chopsuey's experience!
