When I eat M&Ms I dump them out and sort them by color. I make sure every color has an even amount and I eat all the extras first. Then I eat one out of each color pile, always in the same order: brown, red, orange, yellow, green, and then blue.

@Leialou: Ha okay, that is pretty cooky!
Weird quirk about me...if I can't sleep, I spoon my dog (I'm the big spoon) and I can count on passing out immediately every single time. My dog is like a massive sleeping pill.

@Leialou: OMG I totally do that too!!! They HAVE to be even. lol
ok this thread is totally cracking me up.. haha you guys are too much..
I cannot STAND when guys' collars are half up/half down. I will, and have, gone up to strangers to fix their collars because it drives me up the wall. gahhh I shudder to even think about it.

I can't sleep in an unmade bed. I totally freak out when anything touches my collarbones (turtlenecks are a no-no for me).

@highwire: that's pretty cool. Dogs are the best.

@Leialou: yep I do that too!!! Not just with m&ms but anything that had a variety in the packet.
I also have to line my hot chips up and I eat them according to crispiness. Just incase I get full I want to make sure I got the good ones.. I didn't even realize I did it till DH asked me why?! Lol weird... I wonder how we get these quirks.

@mrs. wagon: one of my quirks too, DH hates it! I never finish a can of soda or juice, etc.
I can't eat food (carry out/fast food) in the car, I have to get home and eat it as a meal. I also eat my sides and main meal together; whereas DH prefers to eat sandwich first, fries next, etc.

Haha so many of these are quirks I have, too! I also race the commercials/microwave/stove timer instead of pausing what I'm doing, I eat my food in order - for example, all my chicken, then corn, then potatoes. It also really should NOT mix/touch on my plate.
I cannot get into bed without the sheet and blanket being straightened out. I burst into tears last night because the mattress pad was off the mattress, but still under the sheet, and DH was already in bed so I made him get up to fix it. Sigh.

@SorryCharlie: Awwwwww! I get super frustrated when our bed pillows aren't properly sorted out . . . there is 1 soft, 1 medium, and 1 firm pillow on either side of our bed (in addition to the sham-covered pillows, but I won't let us sleep on those), and I HATE when they get mixed up. I usually *code* them by pillow case, so that a certain pillow case indicates the proper level of firmness, so that I can tell by just looking whether or not they are sorted correctly. But when I crawl into bed with the lights out and then discover the *chaos*, I get so frustrated!
I also hate when there is not an even number of pillows on both sides of the bed . . . I am hopelessly OCD in some ways.

I have a lot, but along the lines of the original post, I can never finish the last bite of a sandwich. It's horrible, it's not even like I'm full. I just can't.

@sorrycharlie: omg I have a very similar quirk. We have a memory foam mattress, so the mattress pad and sheet get loose very easily (basically whenever we get in and out of bed, they both slip). So whenever the sheets and/or mattress pad are wrinkled around the foot area, I CANNOT SLEEP. It has to be smooth. It drives Wagon Sr. crazy because we both have to get up, strip the blankets and pillows off the bed, and pull the pad and sheet tight all the way around the mattress.

I used to have to eat my pizza one topping at a time. All the pepperonis, then all the cheese. So all I'd have left was the crust and pizza sauce that I would eat together. I think it started because the pizza would be too hot to eat, but I'd be hungry and by eating from the top down, I could get started while the sauce cooled?
And I love the segmented styrofoam plates because you can keep all your foods separate! I don't buy them, but when I go to a holiday meal where they're being used, I'm ridiculously excited. My potatoes and gravy are separate from my corn, which is separate from my turkey and cookies. And I eat each one one-at-a-time (from least yummy to most). Unless I'm concerned about getting too full. Then I start with one dessert, then move to least yummy and end with a second dessert
