Ughhhh!
I thought it was coming, and I knew it was inevitable since I stopped pumping last month... but I was really enjoying not having AF around- haha! Let's see, that makes almost 20 months - not too bad 
I guess this means I can start charting again

@BabyBoecksMom: dang it all! LO is 3.5 months and no AF yet (a day or two of spotting but I think that was leftover from PP), I am dreading the day AF returns! ahhh. As long as I keep breastfeeding I hope the witch stays away.

@autumnlove: I did!! But I don't think DH is really ready for it - HAHA. Funny thing is, I thought I was ovulating a couple weeks ago, and we weren't careful :-O

She just turned 9 months and still no AF (though I have an IUD). I'm hoping when I get my IUD out it will come back pretty quick because I've got the fever!!!

9.5 months and I still haven't gotten my period but I've been getting menstrual-like cramps for a few weeks. I'm scared!!! I would probably continue BFing for much much longer if I could be guaranteed AF would not return. There is no baby fever going on over here!

Nice! You made it way longer.. Mine came back at 6 mos pp, and I'm still BF with night feedings! Totally sucks

@BabyBoecksMom: This is us too! LO is 16 months old. I got AF back again this week (4th cycle). I am starting to get baby fever and its no fun.
We aren't quite ready for another baby, so I think I need to draft a "What to do before baby #2" list.

awwwww boooooooo. I always tell my friends who aren't moms yet that the 9 months without a period during pregnancy isn't really great because of all the pregnancy symptoms... but not having your period while you're a new mom ROCKS!! Mine came back exactly 3 weeks post wean!!
This time around I'm exclusively pumping, 4 times a day, and I thought it was coming back a few times (felt crampy and annoyed) but so far AF's a no show. Crossing fingers!!! I'm almost 5 months PP.

@BabyBoecksMom: yep, that was me, too - when I stopped pumping at work during the day, around 9 months. I still continued to breastfeed.

14 months pp and no af. I've only had 2 in the past 4 years because of pregnancy and breast feeding. Am not looking forward to it returning, ESP since olive just started sleeping thru the night!

With DD it didn't return until I dropped a pumping session at 9m PP. With DS it appeared at 8w when I re-started the pill but hasn't appeared again since.

Well I made it to 4.5 months and then AF came with a vengeance this weekend. I don't know why I was so shocked, I guess its because I really thought I would be without her till I stopped breast feeding. The worst part was how terribly unprepared I was- I had no idea where anything was and then turned out I didn't have even a single tampon in the house. Geez.

@Protectlove: Oh no!! I actually thought it was coming last weekend, so I bought some tampons while we were at the store. Otherwise, I would have been completely SOL today.
@Thehistoryofus: I had it for 6 weeks, too!! Not cool!
@Mrs. Bee: That's pretty incredible to only have 2 in that time. I wouldn't mind that one bit

EBF and all, my doc thought it might have been a tear, but no way the way the week went. 8 day cycle.....IUD went in yesterday, lol, not goin' there

@enjollah: Oh the cramps have been absolutely horrible!! I forgot how awful they were and I literally had to sit down while I was in line at the store today because I couldn't stand.

It came back at almost 10 months... He's been nursing a lot less and eating more solid food, so I figured it would be sooner and not later.

Af returned at 11 months pp-- I kept thinking it would return sooner but it didn't so I was totally surprised when it did. The first was horrible though-- I was so fatigued & in a lot of pain. The next ones weren't so bad.
As to charting, will you let me know how that goes? We're trying to go back to using FAM to prevent pregnancy, but I'm encountering some obstacles we didn't have before and would love to hear how another new mom is able to do it. .

Just started again yesterday. FF, here I come! ;D Glad to hear someone else in the same boat. And like you, we just recently took a chance, which we never do!!

I'm EBF (not even pumping!) and it returned 7 weeks pp, 28 days later (last week) I started period #2!!
