I feel like I have been hearing this since LO was born! Usually from older people but also from other parents, usually with the undertone that either she is a lazy baby or I am a lazy parent for not directly tackling every possible skill she will ever need as soon as she breached the birth canal.
It started with milestones and quickly segued into manners as LO gets older: she needs to learn to self sooth, she needs to learn to walk, she needs to learn to feed herself, she needs to learn to use the potty, etc.
Um, yeah. I know. And since I have never met a typically developing, say, 4 year-old, who couldn't do any of that stuff, I am pretty sure we will get there! For right now I am going to continue to just play with her and follow her lead.
Go sit on an egg, ya nags!
