I think I may have skipped a dinner or two when I was younger. Only because I refused to eat what was being served.

I don't remember it ever happening bu I'm sure it did. I was SO picky as a little kid.

No, if anything I was made to sit at the table until I finished every last bite. I think sending kids to bed without dinner is a terrible punishment.

I don't think so--not as a punishment, and I can't imagine that I would miss a meal on purpose.

I used to watch my sister after school & we got the bright idea to unwrap & then re-wrap all the Christmas gifts that were already under it. My sister uses too much tape in her re-wrapping & my mom busted us a few days later. It was already late afternoon/evening when she did so she sent us to bed early. Tbh I'm thankful she didn't kill us! Lol

Yes - if I didn't eat dinner, then I didn't eat. I also didn't get dessert which was usually a big enough motivator to get me eating!

I don't think so. We were forced to eat whatever was on our plate until it was gone. Even if it meant sitting there for hours on end... =(

My parents' rule was you eat what was made or you could make yourself a bowl of cereal, so I don't think I ever missed dinner completely. Also, my mom had a rule that "this meal's complainer is next meal's cook," so when we were older we definitely didn't complain much!
