I just breathed a lot, not a ton of moaning or groaning. When I was labouring down my doula had me push the contractions out of my mouth with some verbalization, but that's the most that I remember

I talked a lot through the beginning but the second day was pretty painful and by the end I cried a few times and screamed once while pushing because I was pushing really hard and couldn't keep it in lol...

I had natural childbirth, and other than some low moans, I was very quiet. I was focusing all of my energy on riding out the contractions.
I have a VERY high pain tolerance though. I also progressed through labor in like, 7.5 hours from water breaking to birth though, so I didn't have time to really think about the pain.

I was screaming with my DD in triage. And I cussed once. My mom was there with me and that's how she knew I was in a lot of pain. They couldn't give me anything for the pain because I was being rushed in for a c-section. My DH came rushing down the hall and he said that he could hear me crying and carrying on in the OR.

@Coco Bee: I was in labor for 11 hours before I asked for an epidural at 8 cm, but it failed. Then an hour later I got another one, and it failed too. My mouth went numb though....that was interesting. Maybe way I was so quiet? lol

I had a natural childbirth and my doula encouraged low-toned moaning vs. screaming, which I think was really helpful. Must admit, I swore like a sailor, chanting the f word in a low register for much of transition...

I wasn't very loud. I talked and joked with my DH, mom, aunt and grandma in early labor. When hard labor hit, I asked that it be a little quieter and just focused on breathing through contractions. The only time I was loud was when I yelped when my water was broken (I was very posterior and it hurt). I got an epidural about 1.5 hours before pushing, and I was very quiet and focused during pushing.
