Hi @Mrs.Someone: I'm sorry that you're dealing with this. When my chemical pregnancy (I prefer to call it that because m/c sounds just too too sad.... isn't it interesting how we all deal differently with these things?) happened, I remember asking the exact same questions as you.
My doctor didn't have a strong opinion one way or another. She mostly suggested that we do what we felt comfortable with. We decided to stop OPKing for that next cycle and just see what happened. I had a similar experience to @winniebee: in that my cycle was over 60 days! I think our bodies know more what we need and will help us regulate when we start to try again that way.

But, of course, talk to your doctor s/he will know more about YOU and your body (and medicine!).

I had 2 early m/c's (I prefer C/P like @jocole too), and both times the doc suggested to take a cycle off. But both cycles afterwards were completely normal.

I had a CP/Early MC last month and my RE just had us go right into treating the next cycle. At first it was a little weird because we had to start up with the appointment on CD3 of miscarrying. It just seemed kind of sad and like we weren't taking any time for our loss. But it's been a couple weeks now and I'm glad we didn't stop trying. I'm also hoping that we'll experience the increased fertility that some couples do after losing a pregnancy.

I had an early miscarriage and doc said to stop trying but old wives tales say you are extra fertile after a CP/early miscarriage.... and we got pregnant right away after. Emotionally maybe not the best idea

I'm so sorry about your loss. Mine was a later one and I was to wait 2-3 cycles, but my doctor gave us the clear at 2 cycles. We waited a 3rd because we weren't ready. I would say do what you are comfortable with.

@Mrs.Someone: I lost a pregnancy right around that same point. We took a month off as my doc suggested. My period came 28 days after the loss and we were successful on the next cycle!
