My mom is an artist and was a SAHM so she had both the time and talent to be a real class mom. She came in and helped create amazing art projects for many of my classrooms!

I went to catholic school and my mom came in once a week and was the gym teacher!

My mom was PTA president at my elementary school. I didn't mind, I was always happy for my parents to be involved. And I love that my mom still sees a group of fellow PTA moms at least once a month for dinner. So cute they've been BFFs for over 15 years now!

Eta: in retrospect, I don't know how she fit it all in -- working full time, PTA president, helping plan the annual spring fair... Super mom! Lol

Couldn't! She was working 12 hour+ days!

My parents both worked so they were not the class mom/dad.

However, once in 6th grade my dad (a geologist) came and talked to my science class and I was SO PROUD! He brought lot's of cool maps and rocks with him that the other kids thought were neat. I will never forget that day.

My mom was pretty involved in elementary school, and eventually went on to be on the local school board, then state school board! So even if my mom wasn't directly involved in my classroom my teachers all knew whose daughter I was Not sure if that's good or bad, haha.

My mom was a teacher at the elementary school I went to, so...yes. They were both pretty involved in the elementary school since it was a Catholic school connected to our parish, and they were active in the church.

Neither were involved much in middle/high school though.

As much as they could be. They both worked full-time, but my mom took a job when I was in middle school-high school specifically because it provided her opportunities to work in the schools a lot... So she got to see me a lot. They both hated fundraiser/PTA type stuff though.

We didn't have class moms/dads -- I never knew that was a thing until recently! My parents worked full-time so they weren't able to chaperone field trips, but when I was older and played sports, they managed to make most of my games. They also went to all parents' nights, school concerts and plays, and anything else that was held in the evenings.

Yes. My mom was always a class parent and also helped run the school store and other social events. It was special.

No. My dad worked way too much for that. My school didn't really have "class mom" but they did have a parents group that did stuff generally for the school. My mom wasn't a part of it though. I don't know why, maybe just because she's not really a joiner. Also maybe to give me a little space? My mom always worked at my school (all of them! From K-12 there was only 1 year that my mom did not work at the school I was attending-- although she swore it was coincidence they moved her to middle then high school right after me hah). So everyone knew her and I think if she was also involved in "mom stuff" it would be too much.

They weren't the room parents but they were involved in that they would come to school events, bring in cupcakes for our birthdays, etc. Both of my parents worked but we came first and they always made time to be involved.

Yep, my mom was a consultant, so she could arrange her schedule to be there for things like field trips and she was a class mom and PTA member. My dad was on the school board and both came to most of the in-town things and usually tried to make at least some of the out of town things.

They are both still active in the schools because it's a small town and they like to support some of the activities that don't get as much (i.e. Not sports).

No. She became a SAHM when I was in 3rd grade but she had a very tough time with depression after my grandma passed away. It makes me sad that my parents weren't involved but now that I know the reason I can understand why. It just motivates me to take care of myself mentally and to be involved in any activities my kids are in.

Well... I was homeschooled, so you could say that

No. My mother was a single mom, and she had to work. I'm fascinated by the "Class Mom/Dad" concept because we did not have this at my elementary school.

Not really, they both worked fulltime outside of the house. I do remember my mom on some of our school field trips.
