I have loved these last six months, 12-18 months - he has been SO fun and engaging. We've had an awesome summer.
But I am looking forward to being done having kids and the kids being 4-10ish. I feel like at those ages they really enjoy going out and doing family stuff like camping, road trips, sports, etc.
But for now I'm enjoying every step of the way!

I think I'm going to enjoy every little stage!
Of course, there's something unbelievably special about having an infant, but I'm really looking forward to parenting school-aged (elementary) children.

We're just getting into the 12-18 month and it's been fun so far as he's becoming more communicative, developing a sense of humor/personality and showing a lot of understanding and independence, so right now I'm looking forward to really getting into that.
I'm also looking forward to the 4-5 age. We have some nephews in/just out of that range, and they are so much fun to be around!

My LO isn't here yet, but even though I know it's going to be ridiculously hard, I'm looking forward to the tiny infant stage. I work with 4 year olds everyday, so a change will be great! BUT I know just how fun he will be at 4, so I'm looking forward to that as well.

I am really looking forward to the next year (1 year to 2 years) right now. LO is just starting to get more mobile and seems to be understanding a lot more, so I am excited to see how she progresses. It is so exciting and sad to see them grow up so fast!

My oldest is 7 and LO is 6 months, so I am really enjoying the difference in ages. 5-7 years has been so much fun though because he still likes hanging out with DH and I, but he's more independent and needs less from us. I dread the teen years though. With LO right now, I'm looking forward to 9-12 months.

Most of you will probably think this sounds crazy, but I most look forward to the teenage years. I'm also going to school to be a high school teacher, that's just the age group I connect to the most, I guess. Obviously that stage has really tough moments (but what age doesn't?), but it's also when they start to really mature, gain independence, and figure out the person they're going to be.

I have a friend with an almost 3 year old and he is just sooo sweet! We had lunch the other day and he was giving my DS kisses and feeding him his melts. I just loved it. He's still a baby, but a big boy too! (the 3 y/o)

I'm really looking forward to M being able to talk. I know each stage has its difficulties, but I'm so curious to hear what's going on in her little head!

@MrsF: I agree, I can't wait for my LO to talk. I love her little voice when she babbles! It will be so neat to hear what she thinks about!
@Mrs. Pen: I am really looking forward to starting holiday traditions, visiting Disney, going camping, etc... things that she will remember, probably starting around age 4 or 5.

I'm looking forward to next summer when DD will be 18 months old. We live in the city with soooo much to do....museums, aquarium, lakefront, pool, all within walking distance. I felt like she was too young this summer to take advantage of it all but next summer we can do all sorts of fun stuff!

I look forward to the baby walking in the next few months. Then she can really do a lot more with big sis. I think my 3 year old is at a great age! She is so much fun.

I'm so looking forward to hearing DD talk and show me more of her personality! I'm looking forward to B's tantrums slowing down over the next year. 4 is great but at 5 I think they can care for others feelings more than just their own!

I'm looking forward to when T can really communicate with words. He is 15 months and has a few words and can express himself, but I can't wait to hear what's going on in that little brain of his!

I am cherishing every minute of my now 11 month old son but I am really excited for him to speak. He is already so mobile, funny and expressive. I just know he is going to have wonderful things to say in that adorable tiny toddler voice!!!

Having worked with kids my whole life, I love love love 4-5. So curious, independent and fun. They are really beginning to figure things out yet the magic of being little still hasn't gone away.
