Obviously, these can be used for tummy time, as well as playtime. What age did your LO start using an activity gym?

We started him on tummy and floor time around 4 weeks old, but he really didn't like it. He just wanted adult interaction and being held. He didn't start actually engaging in play on the floor mat until about 8 weeks, he is 9 weeks now and enjoys looking at the toys that hang on it, but only for up to about 10 minutes at a time.

We got one at 7 weeks- he was driving us crazy, we just couldn't keep him happy and entertained all the time, so when we put him in the toy he had a blast! He would play for about 20 minutes before wearing out. Now at 4 months he lasts 10-15 minutes before wanting to do something else.

Immediately? I laid DD and Ds on the mat for a few minutes at a time pretty much as soon as we got home from the hospital. It's a comfortable place for them to hang out and it's great for tummy time, so you can use it right away, if you want.

I started putting both of them on a playmat at 4 weeks.

I put her on it when she was a newborn for tummy time. She used it for a while- but now she's 9 months and won't stay on it for longer than 2 seconds.

I didn't know that there was an age when you could start. I put my LO on it immediately. She never warmed up to it, though. She has never liked to lie down and was always happier sitting in the bouncy chair.

At about two weeks, which is when we got it.

We started using ours for tummy time at around 1-2 weeks
