I should probably know the answer for this, but what age did your child start doing 'So Big!" on their own? I have been doing this with LO for a few months (7 months tomorrow) and hold her hands, but I was wondering when she will throw her arms up on her own when we say it? This is her favorite game

@LuLu Mom: I'm so curious to know this too! We do this with LO and try to get him to clap his hands. He loves it as well, so it will be exciting when he does it on his own! He was 7 months last Friday!

My wonder week app said around 11 months (whatever wonder week ends about at that time).
My son is 11.5 months and doesn't do it yet though.

@littlek: you ask "how big is Johnny" and then say "Johnny is sooooo big!" and raise their arms at the same time. But use your baby's name.

Hmmm...we haven't started doing this with our lo yet. I guess we should start if she should be able to do it by 11 months...

Our LO really learned this and started to do it on demand at about a year. I distinctly recall my mom visiting for LO's 1st birthday and LO responding to my mom's request for "so big".

I'd say anytime between 8-11 months? We do a korean version where the baby puts their hands on their heads to form a heart shape (hard to describe! haha) whenever you say "I love youuuuu". My dd just recently started doing this at 9 months and we die every time she does it!

@runsyellowlites: @mediagirl: @mrskc: @littlek: Sorry! I thought it was a known thing, I should have described it better in my post! I remember always doing it in the bathtub as a child, and that's how my mom would get us to get out of hte tub without a fit.
She would say "How big is J?" and I would throw my arms up and she would lift me out! Right now I say "E is SOOOO Big" and then tickle her under her arms.

E started at 8 months but she is kind of over it now lol. At 11 months, she claps to patty cake though.

My daughter (13 months) throws her arms up in the air to tell me she wants to be picked up, but she never did "so big". Then again, I really rarely try to play that game with her, so I think I just haven't given her the opportunity to catch on.

My daughter is almost 12 months and does it (we say "big girl!!!!!") But I don't remember when she started. Maybe 10.5 months?

@LuLu Mom: @Springtime: We started doing it yesterday, a lot, & P seems to have quickly caught onto the concept... like clapping though she refuses to do it herself & forcefully grabs MY hands to do it! Lol!
