I was 9 and my dad's company had a convention in Switzerland. My parents were allowed to bring one child to each convention, so I went to that one, and my sister went to Spain when she was around the same age. It was a great and cost effective chance to take your kids abroad!

Moved to Australia when I was 18 months. Flew back and forth occasionally (to visit Mum's side of the family) until I was 10 and we moved back to NZ when my parents split and then flew back to Oz once a year until I was 18. Now in the last 3 years we've gone back and forth a few times between the US and NZ.
So, lets say I'm not a stranger to international flights!!

Went to Canada as a toddler twice and when I was 10, I went on a quick day trip to Mexico. I don't count those though...
When I was 16, I went to Europe... Paris, Lourdes, French Riviera, Italy & Spain.

Paris when I was 19 (I don't count the Canada trip when I was 11 as I didn't need a passport for that trip). LO is only 8.5 months old and has already circumnavigated the globe and been to three continents; we'll hit her fourth continent (Asia) later this year so she will be a very well travelled little girl.

I was 12 the first time I went to Europe. My family wanted me to be "old enough to remember it."

I travelled from Canada to the US at least once or twice a year from the age of 3-4 months to visit relatives, because my mom is American.
My first real trip abroad was when I moved overseas for 3 years when I was 23. I just needed a change!
