We live in NY! DD was born in Dec, and she was always transported in her carseat, where as she is now in a convertible, and should be walking by spring time too when it's still chilly. If you do layers, tell me too! So many cute things out there and we have a lot of hand me downs so I'm only trying to buy into what I really need!

A nice thin fleece jacket for the car seat, long sleeved onesies, a good hat. A stroller blanket muff thingie if you walk everywhere versus drive.

If you take the stroller a lot, I agree you need a stroller blanket/ muff thing. Then you can pretty much just do regular pants, even leggings if it's not super cold, and a coat with hat and mittens. I also liked lined jeans (ours were old navy) and fleece or sweat pant material for relaxed days. And long sleeve onesies. Aside from putting a warmer coat on top, we didn't really change that much from fall or spring clothes, since she was always under the blanket in the stroller.
