I have a coworker who loves to give me a play by play of his day. His work doesn't directly affect me so I don't care who he calls or how long he spends on each task! I want him to stop this annoying habit! "Hey, I am about to call so and so." "About to take a smoke break."
Argh! What are some of your coworker's annoying habits?

I'm a legal editor so our office is pretty quiet. We have designated offices to make personal phone calls so as not to disturb others. One of my co-workers constantly gets phone calls from his wife, and he talks SO loudly. He is older, so I don't think he realizes how loud he is, but it's so annoying. He also refers to her as "sweetie" and "honey" all the time on the phone and that just makes me want to barf. The same co-worker also always slurps his drink really loudly. Can you tell I'm not his biggest fan?!

My current co-worker does that. It's nice to know I guess should someone come looking for him, but I understand it's an overkill. I feel like I should notify him of everything that I do - no way!
He also says "huh!" quite often and in what I sometimes see as inappropriate/unnecessary time. That bothers me more!

Sometimes an intern stops by the office and eats stinky food at her desk. It smells so bad that I have to leave the office until she's done.

Clang clanging of a spoon against a bowl drives me crazy. One of my co-workers eats soup EVERY DAY in a porcelain bowl.

One of the executives who sits in the office accross from me, LOVES to clip his nails with metal nail clippers. I hate how that sounds.
The girl who sits next to me heats up stinky food, really early at 11ish and eats at her desk. During my first trimester I had to get up and leave and go out for my lunch so I didn't vomit.
And several people always come in sick so they don't use up PTO. That gets me so angry!

I have a coworker who slurps everything she drinks - that's super annoying. I used to have another one that would go into a conference room and have screaming fights on the phone with her ex husband about custody arrangements when she thought no one could hear her. We could all hear her.

I have one with grandkids who are always selling stuff for fundraisers (chocolate, popcorn, cookies, wrapping paper, etc). She always is like "no pressure but my grandkid is selling _____ to raise money for _____." And she will ask you if you want to buy ___ literally every single time you bump into her until the fundraiser closes. I feel so smothered! And pressured!!

I have one that it makes me gag when I walk by her or in her office. She wears so much perfume and smelly lotion. She reapplies all day long. Multiple people drag their feet when then walk. I hate that!

@MediaNaranja: @autumnlove: we used to have issues with this and now we put a rule in place that you can send out one email and then post the fundraiser sheet in our kitchen. No more asking people directly because people were sick of getting guilted into buying crap. Obviously there is an exception for girl scout cookies because everyone wants those : )

We have windows where walls should be on our offices and they don't even let in any natural light (they lead into hallways) but when I shut my door and use a "Do Not Disturb" sign (provided by management, not my own special one haha!) people still think it's okay to knock or wave and interrupt me just because they can see me! I just stop making eye contact now. It's... pretty awkward.

I have a coworker that likes to talk about bowel movements. Like about how fiber works really well and it's so nice to be regular. I get grossed out every time...so inappropriate.

I have one coworker that talks really loud on the phone when taking personal calls. You can hear his whole conversation. In my department, 3 of us share a truck to do field work. One of my coworkers always leaves his trash in the truck and it drives me crazy. They'll be cups with his drink in there, McDonald's wrappers, food wrappers. So annoying!

One in particular will send me an email and then immediately come over and just repeat everythign in the email...what's the point of sending it if you are just going to come and tell me anyways?
Or the thing that bugged me today on my LAST day, she comes up with a huge list of changes to my procedure forms that she's "been meaning to get with me about for a month" um so you wait until my last day fo rme to get these all done? I told her I won't have time to finish them all before I leave and she'll have to do it...hasn't talked to me since. Problem solved

I work in a small office with someone who shows up 15 min late, wearing shorts/jeans every day. She also insists on talking non stop about her personal life. I don't get it.
