My boss gave me a gift card to Amazon last week so I have been on a toy shopping spree for my LO who is 9 months old.

We bought some little people for DS but we've been holding out lately because Christmas is coming up and he has SO many toys! I'm running out of ideas for holidays/birthdays.

Bought LO Sophie the giraffe to see what the hype is! He loves it! And does help with our horrible teething phase.

hmm we haven't bought any toys in a long time. wait that's not true -- we bought a bunch of travel stuff!
lately we only buy books for charlie though. and olive isn't really interested in toys. she's happiest playing with random household things!

My baby isn't even born yet and I already have a huge tub that I'm slowly filling with toys. The last one I purchased was Haba's Sevilla building blocks just this week. So gorgeous!

Liv LOVES her shopping cart! she goes "shopping" in the pantry all the time lol. The last toy I bought was this Fisher Price Lantern
She LOVEEESSSSSS IT. She makes it play music and dances and carries it around with her. So cute.

I have never noticed Sophies before being pregnant, but I am amazed at how EVERY baby I see has one. It's unbelievable! My DH even knows what Sophie is now! Even though he calls it a Sophia sometimes:) So she may be a little young, but we're prepared:)

@Yin I saw something clever on a blog a while ago - she hot glued felt envelopes to the back of the puzzles so it held all the pieces!
Baby is in utero, but I bought some Melissa & Doug noise puzzles from the thrift store.. I couldn't resist - they look brand new and were 50 cents a piece!!

I got her a stacking toy and she loves it. Just plastic circles that nest/stack.

We bought him quite a few things at Once Upon A Child; a vtech learning ladybug. Which is actually quite annoying and he's not even into it... maybe he will be later.
A vtech hammer learning truck- he likes this a little better, but is still a little young for it.
Wooden nesting squares set - again, a little young, but my nephew likes them (he's 13 mos).
Plastic stacking cups - another favorite of my 1 yo nephew. DS just chews on them for now.
DS is 7 months and mostly just chews on toys, but he is starting to like things with noise and lights.

LO is a little over 7 months now. We bought her the Fisher Price "Ballcano" recently: http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-W9859-Stand-Up-Ballcano/dp/B006O7XOOW. She loves watching the balls fall over the side!
We also got her a ring stacking toy and some stacking cups. She really enjoys chewing on them

can you tell i love trains? 
actually, it's been great because lil' cb will be wrapped in independent play with his trains for up to 1.5 hours! and it really allows him to be imaginative as he creates different scenarios for his trains. but, sheesh, no more trains!

I'm on a break from toy shopping. He got so much stuff for his birthday, that there are still so many things he has barely played with. Plus we spend half the day outdoors and he's really just a fan of sticks, rocks, dirt and water! Ha!
