We had a record setting warm day yesterday and had a BBQ at a friends and made s'mores in the fire pit after. What are the little things you enjoy when the weather warms up?

Cooking everything on my Traeger
Getting to keep my car parked and walking everywhere
Outdoor concerts
Fresh flowers
Farmers markets -
Well we had snow this morning, and it'll be -2C (28F) tomorrow, so I don't have any recent experience, but usually it's not having to put on the heavy coat and not having to wear socks with my flats
I hate socks!

Walking to the beach after dinner
Sundresses & sandals
Family concerts at the park
Ditching the car and biking everywhere -
I love that it's not dark when DH finishes work and we can go out for walks as a family. LO loves to be outside so we have been spending afternoons outside, even if it's just exploring our own yard and having a picnic snack. We also love grilling and eating outside on our deck, although we haven't done that yet.

We live in a walking city so I LOVE when it is warm enough to throw LO in the stroller and go. No coats, hats, layers. And then I love just walking everywhere with him, places that I would have said were too far in cold weather.
@youboots: I LOVE bbqs and grilling. Can't do it in the city.
We have a beach house and do it there but we are getting rid of it at the end of June. Prime BBQ weather!
And I was just daydreaming about outdoor concerts today! -
We have a crawfish party tonight! Love outdoor parties.

Siting outside after dinner, not having to bundle up myself or LO every time we go out, wearing sandals, bbqing!

Opening up the pool. We spend a fair amount of time outdoors all year, but I feel like I am on vacation when I can spend the weekend at the pool.

I just love the feeling of warm sun on my skin. I love the warm weather so much (still waiting for it here in Boston though).
Other nice things are:
- Can just walk about the door instead of bothering with coat, hats, and gloves
- No nasty salt and sand everywhere
- Flowers, birds, the smells of grass
- Can go for a walk or to the playground instead of hanging out inside
- Al fresco dining!
- Dresses and sandals
- Leaving the house with my hair still wet and not worrying about it
- Grilling
- Fun festivals and outdoor events in the summer -

It's a very Texas/Louisiana thing. It's a backyard crawfish boil. Very messy and delicious. And you must drink beer or sangria !

Sitting out on our deck having a drink with Hubs after the kids have gone to bed - it's when we have our best conversations! Also, drinking my coffee on the deck in the morning.

My most simple joy of warm weather is when the sidewalks are no longer layered in ice. The first time of the year when I'm walking on actual pavement, is exciting for me!!

When the birds come out -
There's a lot I love about warm weather, but mostly its sandals!! I hate shoes & socks. Also:
- cool beers
- walks after work/school
- hikes in the mild morning weather
- tank tops
- caps instead of beanies
- a few extra minutes in bed each morning because theres no ice to scrape -
flip flops and tank tops
LO gets to play outside a lot and she is in heaven.

Iced coffee
Grilling for dinner
No jacket to leave the house
Ice cream outside
Going to the park
(In my pre-pregnancy life): running -
I love seeing the tulips and daffodils poking up in everyone's gardens when we are on a walk.

Ice cream.
That it's light out much later. -
I love sitting on our patio with a good book!

It's snowed 3 times this week and is currently -14, but the things I'm looking forward to are walking up to Starbucks on Saturday mornings, going for bike rides, taking B to the park after daycare, and sitting on the deck with a glass of wine.
Oh, and flip flops! I can't wait to not need socks.

Bare feet in warm grass! And I miss the warm nights that exist in the area where my family lives. The "blue nights" as Joan Didion calls them. Those long blue twilight evenings in the early summer and late spring. Sitting outside at 9pm in 85 degree weather. Living in The SF Bay Area the nights usually turn cooler so I miss when it's like 110 during the day and 85 at night.

Wearing sandals! Coffee outside. Walks to the lake and actually getting our feet wet. Butterflies. Sun! Gardening. Liliacs in bloom. Omg, so much!
