I want to do a party for Olive's 4th birthday because she has made some real friends in the past year. The problem in NY is apartments are small, so you have to spend a lot to have them in a venue. Most people have birthday parties at a play gym at this age for cold weather birthdays.
I definitely want to do something for Charlie too (once they're in school they go to so many birthday parties), but not sure what to do for his either!

R is turning 4 in two weeks and this is the first year that she knows it's her birthday coming up and talks about it all the time. She hasn't asked for a birthday party but she did request an Elsa cake so we're just inviting our friends over for a BBQ and cake. No actual party.

We're thinking about taking him to a local amusement/water park with whichever family can make it. Long, fun day just for him.

I think we are going to just take our immediate family members out to brunch at a local restaurant. LO will be 2 this year.

Both of mine have winter birthdays. I think we are going to try to have a real party for DS this year, it will be his first, at 5. I'll probably just end up hosting at our apartment.

M will be 3 in Dec and I'm thinking we'll probably stick with the immediate family party this year and do one for school friends starting next year. Or maybe do a small play date party for new school friends this year.

We're going to spend the day at a science center for D's 8th bday. He prefers day trips to parties.
I have no idea what for Ms 2nd bday. Probably just dinner out and a family celebration.

We had a party for LO2 in March. For LO1 (she will be 3 in August) we will just do something low key.

I'm going to have a family party for Pirates 1st and then a combined mermaid and pirate party for them and their friends.

Same thing we did for her first only this time the toddlers will be old enough to actually play. We are filling a bunch of small pools and setting out her water table and sprinkler and letting them splash away in our backyard.

We will have a party and invite friends from church and family. We may invite a few daycare friends as well, but we will also take cupcakes to daycare a few days/weeks before.

We had a backyard bbq and (above ground) pool party. Perks of having a June birthday! It was mostly family since LO is only 3 and only attends daycare 1 day a week.
I'm too cheap to shell out for a party at another venue so if we lived in an apartment, I think I would just invite 1-2 close friends over to play and for cake.

My son turned one in March. Honestly, I made it a party for me! We invited our friends, many of whom have kids. There were about 50 adults and 20 kids invited, and I was shocked by how few people declined the invitation.
We have plenty of friends who are not parents, too. So, I scheduled the party for 2pm and hired a guy from Music Together to come at 2:30. The evite stipulated that people could come at 3:30 for birthday cake and a drink if they wanted to skip the children's entertainment.
My crazy husband volunteered to make tea sandwiches and lemonade. I baked scones. We had sparkling rose, beer and wine. And there were still about 30 people there at 5pm, so we ordered pizza. The last guests left at 7.

I'll be 37 weeks pregnant so it will be very low key. Just family and friends for a BBQ, I'll do a Frozen theme (very light) since she is currently obsessed

I wish we could have a party at home but our space is so small, no parking and he's a winter baby so outdoors won't work.
We'll either rent the small movie theater or do a bowling party, indoor mini golf, something like that.

DS' bday is in mid December and he doesn't have too many friends, so we're actually thinking about going on a Disney cruise or going to Disney world to celebrate.
He'll be 3!

DS will be 2 at the end of the month and we're doing his party at his gym class - there will be around 10 kids and 20 adults.

We had a party for lo2 because it was his first birthday. We were planning just a family party with just us and grandparents for lo1 but he is asking to have his friends come. Maybe we will do a playgroup type party at our house during the week and something separate for grandparents on his actual birthday. He will be 3
