We always dump it into savings. We hardly get anything back though.

Whatever we get will be going to the house we're hopefully buying soon. We got back more than we thought because of the second baby last year.

Usually it's straight to savings. This year we'll be updating a couple things in our house to prepare for putting it on the market.

I'm not sure yet if we are getting anything. But we usually put it into the savings account that gets spent on bigger items. We want to have the house painted and redo some parts of the kitchen.

We also got ours back in about 5 days. Ours is going into savings as we are buying a house this year.

Credit Card....we have one that has just been higher than we are comfortable with since we reno'd our house...so we're putting a nice dent in it...

Getting our house painted- also exterior repair work... New siding, new front steps and rails, porch reinforcement. Our refund will cover 1/2 if it's the same as its been the last few years.

We divide it into 3 every year since LO was born: 1/3 into his savings account, then DH and I put our shares into our individual IRAs.

@HLK208: Oh no, I hate that feeling! We're getting a refund since I became a SAHM. In years past we've had to pay so I understand.

Probably not going to get anything, but if we do we will just save it or put it towards debt - either the mortgage, credit card or student loans.

@regberadaisy: At least our wasn't unplanned. We knew she needed teeth pulled so we waited until we had the money. I feel bad because she was likely in some pain, but we just couldn't afford to drop $700 on it when we found out she needed it done because we had unexpected medical bills at the time.

Most likely throwing it towards our mortgage! We're trying to pay some of it down while we can.

DH and I are splitting it. His half will go to paying off a personal credit card and my half will go to my master's tuition.

It's going into our student loans & baby checking acct, which is for "extras" in that category.

We are re-sodding our backyard, it is huge with privacy fence but all weeds
the grass is crap! DD would love to romp around come summer!

Used it as a down payment on a truck for DH, the old one is 12yrs old and has 340,000 miles on it lol. Let me be nostalgic and say they don't make them like they used to.
