I am going to have my son make him his requisite art project, not sure what it will be this year.

I got him a bunch of shaving stuff: Fur brush, soap, stand. Switchblade beard comb, beard oil, syptic pencils, and a gift card for a razor shave at a nice men's salon.
I'm also going to get him a gift certificate for a golf lesson since he said he was interested in that.

I had a collage done, an 8x10, of a ton of pics of H & Daddy (did this for his bday but kicked myself bc it would have been so clutch for father's day!)...At the top, in a child handwriting font, it said "My Daddy and Me"
He loved!

LO is giving him an A's board book and there will be A's tickets in the book. Plus I want to find a "First Father's Day" onesie.

I'm so hung up on this! It will be DH's first Father's Day, but we will be brand spankin new parents, like two weeks or less.

I got him and E matching Hawaiian shirts...he used to joke that he wanted an ugly tie for Father's Day but has since decided that he wanted a Hawaiian shirt since he *never* wears ties but does wear a Hawaiian shirt every Friday. I also got him a book of Dr. Seuss's editorial war cartoons, and am thinking about making some sort of framed collage of photos of him and E.

@plantains: i did it on walgreens website bc I needed it quick, but shutterfly & tinyprints have them and everything I've ever gotten on either site has been gorgeous. I wish I would have thought of it sooner so I could have done a fancier one! But he loved the one from good ol walgreens and it was like $3.

I think I'm going to get him some Cole Haan shoes he's been wanting.

I was planning on "surprising" him with a lunch cruise but MIL gave it away! I will also be making him a D A D frame out of aluminum printed from Postal Pix!

@FutureMrsMcK: bahah I am totally doing the ugly tie one year as a joke. Maybe when the kids are older and they can pick it out.

No clue!! Maybe some stuff to use on the grill. He doesn't need anything else. I want to make something from R for him. But I can't think of anything. Guessing day care will do something.

@PrincessBaby: good idea, i have a mypublisher/shutterfly addiction.

I really want to get him a decanter for his scotch, but I'm not really sure that's an appropriate gift for Father's Day, and maybe better suited for Christmas? (His birthday already passed). I'm excited that he FINALLY mentioned something he wants (wasn't referring to Father's Day, just that he wants it in general), and don't really want to wait til December to get it for him!
He's not really sentimental either...

i'm getting DH a record player.... he has this idea of wanting to collect records and pass them on to our son so I'm going to get him started with the player, and his first record will be a song that has our son's name in that we listened to often before LO arrived

I got framed IG photos from printstagram and a baby spurs jersey so he can cheer on his fave team with his lil' buddy!

My SIL and I are doing a round of golf for DH and my brother! They both deserve a day to relax!

@highwire: thank you so much for the idea of a gift certificate for a straight razor shave for Father's Day!! That is exactly is the type of thing he's always wanted to do, but is too frugal to go out and do it himself.

Framed pics for his desk at work & and a day of golfing.

He's getting:
A new pair of Rainbow sandals, because I'm tired of him losing the 1 pair he has left
A new pair of sunglasses, to replace the ones he just broke
Tickets to see The Killers, because I want to go, and I think it's a good time to try and do a night away from our son, since we've yet to attempt it.
It'll be a practical Father's day mixed with something fun. I also had a personalized card made from Minted.com that came out adorable.

@BananaPancakes: oooh I should get on the personalized card!!!

@wheres_c: My husband is really into american football and has a favorite team, so I was going to get him a baby onesie that looks like his tea jersey....but then I saw him browsing that idea himself and he mentioned HE might buy one for our future LO.
So now I'm back to the drawing board. I'm thinking this: http://www.cafepress.com/mf/25512074/2-countries-1-heart-sri-lan_bodysuit
They have all different countries...

@regberadaisy: You should. They are $5.99, which isn't really different than what you'd spend in the card store. I bought this one, and it turned out so cute:

We collect Christmas ornaments everywhere we go and since this is his first Father's Day I think I am going to make him a salt dough ornament with the baby's footprint.

@BananaPancakes: I just created two cards for DH! One from my older LO's as a step dad type card and the other one from the baby. Thanks for the suggestion!

@Pumpkinspice: You're welcome! I didn't even know minted had regular cards, but they sent me a catalog a couple weeks ago that had them in it and I just couldn't resist.

Jealous of your paper cutter!
He told me what he wants so it was easy. I got him a shirt from his favorite sports team. We're probably going to be spending the day at the beach so I don't really have to plan anything.

I'm getting him a gift certificate to get a fancy shave at the Art of Shaving - he keeps saying he's going to do this, but I know he won't, so I'll get it for him. I also want to get him a book about lifecoaching b/c he wants to look into this as a second career. I'd like to come up with one other gift.
honeydew / 7303 posts
An edible arrangement, an electric shaver and a shutterfly photo book.

I just emailed some of his friends that he hasn't seen much since LO was born (she's 4.5 months). I thought he might like a round of golf with the boys. The friends are childless and living the childless happy life of doing whatever you want, whenever you want, so it's near impossible to hang out like they used to. Both DH and I are a bit peeved that his supposed "best" friend hasn't even been to the house to meet the baby yet, but best friend is taking charge of organizing some guys for an afternoon at Top Golf on Father's Day. I'm paying for the bay for two hours. I think DH will really like! We'll have good family time in the morning before he goes out.

@BananaPancakes: I love that card. I think I'll order one for DH. Thanks for sharing!
I'm getting DH a coffee mug with DS's pic on it. He loves his coffee every morning! I think I might also get a round of golf for him too.

Bumping! Any last-minute ideas? I am such a horrible procrastinator. Thought he was going to be out of town, but I think he's changing his plans so he can be home that day. Pressure

I got him some Happy Socks (he loves wearing them at work), Kiel's face lotion and an iPhone dock that turns it into a cool modern alarm clock

Breakfast, I'll take first shift with LO & he already got his big gift - new goalie mask.
