What are you getting your 18-24 month old for Christmas?

Im down to just C and my dad for Christmas gifts and I have no ideas for either of them!

She will be 20 months old. She loves stuffed animals, her Mega Bloks, coloring and anything musically oriented. She's getting a play kitchen for her 2nd birthday after we move back to the states (we cant get the one we want here). Some ideas that have been tossed out:

Learning tower/kitchen helper thing (like the Guidecraft one)
An American Girl baby doll
Some kind of foldable play tent/teepee or fort table cover
Shopping cart and some play food

We are planning to do some small gifts of hand puppets and art supplies (like an aqua doodle or something).

Any ideas? What are you guys doing?

She doesn't really understand gifting occasions yet, so we probably won't get her anything!

A learning tower sounds amazing though!!

I wanted to get him a play kitchen or train table, but now I'm leaning towards only getting him something small since he'll be getting a few larger presents from grandparents. Maybe just Megablocks and a few Hot Wheels? I do kind of want to get him a Makala Ukulele, but I have a feeling my step dad will end up getting it for him so he can play with him.

Every time we are ar target, Chloe beelines to the kitty fur-real friend and gives it a biiiig hug. So, that's on my list.. But no idea what else!

@loveisstrange: my daughter has done pretty well with dolls. Mostly undressing them but still she likes them especially now that she's two.

T will be 19 months and we will probably do one of the following:

- Learning Tower
- Mini Piano
- Play Kitchen

C will be 17 months and we'll get her a play kitchen and play food. Probably "The Little Mermaid" on blu-ray, too. But no other "big" gifts... I actually think my ILs will get her the play kitchen, so we'll just need to get the food!

I would totally do the learning tower if we had space, but apartment kitchen is too small.
We are doing a play kitchen and I will probably give the idea for the food/etc to others in the extended family. I do love the shopping cart but again not great with our space.
My LO's birthday is in January, so we might do a baby stroller and the American Girl baby then (especially if we are expecting #2 by then!)

DS will be getting his big boy room (big bed, table and chair set, bedding/decorations), some new plates/cups/flatware, and some new books. He has a ton of clothes and toys already, and I know he'll get more for Christmas from family/friends, so we're not getting him any of those gifts.

Some of DS's favorite toys right now (if you don't already have them) are his Little People school bus/Little People, balls, Matchbox cars, our Ikea circus tent, and his tricycle.

We're also getting a play kitchen and play food. I think a tent/teepee is a great idea! If we lived in a bigger place, I would definitely get one! how about a mini table with 2 chairs? Or an easel/chalkboard?

LO already has a play kitchen and he uses it all the time. My vote is for a grocery cart/play food. I think we will probably get him a learning tower.

We're planning on getting him a play kitchen + food, and maybe a shopping cart. A learning tower is the next big thing on our list, though!

A shopping cart is a good idea! My mom wants to find her a play purse? I think a little back pack would be fine but E is really girly. I kind of wanted to get her the Calico Critters doll house but she might be too little. Maybe for her second birthday.

Other than that, just a play table.

@loveisstrange: we got a teepee hand me down and LO loves it.

I really want to get her a learning tower. She loves watching us cook. Not sure if it'll be in the budget and I've yet to see one used around here.

But all others listed are on her wish list.

@HLK208: we were looking at calico critters too! They are so cute. Lilly wants a kitty family. My daughter is about to turn two and she totally understand presents, enough so that she asked me for an Ariel doll for her birthday. I said oh, which Ariel doll? She said "one at target, with dress not tail". Good lord that girl has opinions. At this point she loves dolls, little people, those plastic dress Minnie up sets and kitchen stuff and the little mermaid

Honestly, Christmas is a big deal for both our families so we are probably just going with a musical instrument from 'Santa' and then stuff he needs like shoes, clothes, and a book or 2 from us. I want to spend less than $100 on presents and $25 on his stocking.
