Not sure but it'll probably have to be low key with everything going on right now.
In years past we've done spa or experience gifts for her & FIL.. The one year we got them a wine making kit. For her birthday two years ago we got her a series of classes to learn stained glass. Loved both!Hm maybe ill keep my eye out on Living Social!

No clue!! The in-laws are so hard to buy for. They have everything and what they don't have they just buy.

Dh insists that we don't give gifts to parents in his family. I hare it because I give gifts to my parents so its weird not giving to his.... but I do admit its nice not having to.
If I did have to, maybe a cookbook. Especially one with fun things she can cook with her grandchildren.

@photojane: oh yeah, I meant to write that but I forgot. Last year I gave her some framed photos of DD and a holiday edition of some crossword puzzles since she loves doing them.

@regberadaisy: two years ago i gave my mil pedicure and massage gift certificates, and she never used either & they expired. i was so mad -- i could've used those!!

@Andrea: i don't know what your budget is, but last year i gave my mil a gift certificate for a family mini-session with a local photographer, so that she could get some nice pictures of the whole family and some individuals of the kids & grandkids. i put it in a nice frame. she loved it.

LO is due at Thanksgiving and we are getting newborn photos done so I'll probably order a nice canvas print for her.

eye cream! she loved it cuz it was something she wouldn't really buy herself since its somewhat expensive. this year I'm thinking about getting her a nice winter coat.

Painting wine glasses for her, we were looking at some at a ritzy shop when we were visiting them a few weeks ago.

I an going to make a photobook with LO's pictures. I always ugly find coupons so it is usually pretty inexpensive.
