I'm really hoping to create a photobook with pictures of Charlie and Olive from birth-now, but I can never motivate to get it done!

I have no idea! I've already done, gardening, jewelry, photo books.

We did that last year. It was very time consuming. Not sure what we'll do this year. Maybe I'll make my mom and mil something with the kids. Would love some ideas.

I'm thinking about getting a grandma pic frame and put the newest u/s picture in it!

I'll probably do a custom photo card on Shutterfly. It's what I do for most holidays, since my mom and dad aren't really into gifts. For Christmas (our biggest gift-giving holiday) I'll make them a photo book with pictures of our daughter from her first year.

We will get her flowers from the farmers market that morning, take her to brunch and I plan on printing out a photo of her with our lo and framing it.

We are finding out the sex of baby#2 a few days before Mother's Day so I plan to do something fun to tell her. I'll also get something just for her but haven't decided what yet.

I don't have a lot of cash to spend so I'm getting her fridge magnets with pictures of DS from Sticky9.

I did a photobook of LO's second year - last year I did the same gift for her first year. it's nice to force myself to make one. not sure if I can keep it up if we get to 2 kids though!

Her first grandbaby! Not sure what else yet. I think a "grandmother" A+A bracelet.

Um, grandchildren?
Maybe a pic of the babies framed if I can get something like that together within the first two weeks of having newborn twins.
apricot / 355 posts
@jhd: Ooooh good idea! I hope our newborn photos will be ready by then!

She always likes Lowes gift cards so she can get gardening things - so that's what I do!

No idea! I should figure this out because things might get a little crazy for me in the next few weeks haha. Maybe some grandma jewelry. If I make it until next Thursday maybe something with a green stone for May, or something with LO's name on it from etsy.

@preggomeggo82: my mom is hard to shop for. we usually do flowers or chocolates or a gift card for her to go out to eat with my dad. none of those are particularly original but she is happy no matter what!

Normally I splurge and send her (and my stepmom and older sister) a gift basket of something really nice but this year I just didn't have the time or funds with the new baby. She said she understood!

@jhd: Sounds exactly like my mom (and MIL). We usually get them some sort of flowers/bulbs to plant.
nectarine / 2180 posts
For my MIL, we usually get her a gift certificate to a different restaurant at the OBX since she spends so much time there. For my mom, I have no idea what we're doing...

I bought MIL a custom necklace from etsy with all her grand kid's names on it

@twodoghouse: lol this is exactly what I was thinking. I should probably try to get something now since I doubt I'll be going out shopping after DS comes sometime in the next 2 weeks. Maybe I'll look for a grandma bracelet or simply do a picture frame for them to have when he comes.

@MrsBee - I just made a photobook for my mom and used Mixbook, they actually have pre-made layouts with design elements/quotes on the pages and you just drop your photos in. I thought it made a nicer and MUCH faster gift photo book than doing the layout yourself using one of the other apps.

I ordered her some flowers and I'm also sending a photobook of LO (it was the free Shutterfly book from last year)
a lunch tote and some kind of small crafty project that involves LO.

It has honestly been years since I've felt this good about my mother's day gift selection. I'm getting this and I think my mom is going to love it!

@mamamoose, OMG that is perfect. I wish my mom wore that kind of stuff *aka not real*
I'm sending flowers and/or chocolate covered strawberries

@MamaMoose: My mom gave my sister and me that bracelet for Christmas. I love it!

@BakerBee: Oh good! I bought it online so I'm glad to hear you've seen it in person and love it!!

I'm getting her a base for the infant car seat we're getting. Her idea!

I'll probably get her a few of the books off her wishlist... but I don't have any grandiose plans.

My mom recently told me she loves Pink (which I find adorable) and would love to have some of her music, so I just ordered Pink's greatest hits and her most recent CD. I considered getting her some kind of grandma jewelry from etsy but I couldn't find anything I thought she'd like.

@lawbee11: me too!!
I think a tablecloth. She told me she wants a new one. Then a picture of R's 1yr shoot.

I planned on a mani/pedi, but she mentioned she could use some new pots so maybe that.

For both moms we always send flowers and a "Happy Mother's Day, Grandma!" Photo calendar with pics of the kids from the past year. I make them thru Costco.

I found an awesome eclectic toy & Candy store near me so I plan on buying her a cool new board game & some homemade candy. (Both of which she loves!)

Probably a massage voucher and buffet breakfast at one of our fav restaurants.
