I’m sending both my mom and my MIL a framed picture of LO. My MIL requested one of LO’s pieces of art, so I am sending her that as well. I feel like it’s kind of a light gift though. What are you giving your mom?

I got my mom a necklace that she admired when we were shopping together, but she already found it when she was babysitting a few months ago and took it home then.
I am also going to make a donation in her name to support refugee mothers.

I came across this and gifted my mom a donation. You can shop several amazing donation gifts from newborn baby boxes for refugees or a year of schooling for a girl in a country where education isn’t readily available. Kind of a cool gift for a mom that doesn’t need a typical “gift gift”

@autumn865: great idea, thank you. I will do this and a thoughtful card. Her birthday is at the end of the month, so for that I will probably do a gift certificate for a couple massages.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I got my mom two diamonds by the yard type bracelets, one birthstone for each of her grandsons (my LO and my sister’s new baby)! Hope she likes them.

my mother in law is a baker, so I bought her a nordic ware bundt pan in the shape of a rose, and also a muffin type pan that makes little flower shaped mini bundt cakes.
no idea what to get my mum, but might be some plants for the garden which she asked for.

We usually send my MIL a bonsai tree. Something new (this year a Hawiian umbrella tree) in a pretty planter. Often from a delivery service like 1-800-Flowers or the like. We are all in FL so they tend to grow well either at her office or at home, her pick.
And we pick out a flowering plant to send to my mom in TN most years. Usually a new hydrangea variety. I like flower/floral gifts that don't wilt This year (with the help of my dad) we chose a vining hydrangea that will climb well in a particular spot against their barn.

@looch: I love this idea, do you have a link? My mom is a hoarder so I don't really want to get her anything but she does appreciate small gifts...

LO1’s preschool had a fundraiser where they took one of his pieces of art and you could order it on a mug, plaque, tote bag, etc. We chose magnets for each of the grandmothers and for great grandmother. We will probably do flowers also. We don’t usually do big gifts.

My mom requested the Ancestry DNA test; she's been working on our family history for awhile so will love this.
I'll probably also get her a flower of some sort from the kids, maybe make a pot with their fingerprints.
MIL I think I will get her a fragrance warmer, she just got a plug-in one and I think could use one of the bigger ones as well and some scents.

I had a piece of DD's art put onto a desk canvas 5x7 for my mom, MIL and my gram. I picked one that suited each one's personality. I think they will be a big hit!
