I'm really happy today! I'm rating the fact that my mum has had an offer on her house (just £1k off asking price), which has enabled her to put an offer in on the flat she fell in love with! I really hope it all goes through!
However, I'm slating the dink we discovered on the side of our new car today. It's a little, tiny chip where someone has clearly hit it with their car door in a carpark, somewhere. Grr!

I've never heard of the term "rating and slating" before! Very cool 
Rating - Last week I thought I screwed up something at work b/c my co-worker did something one way and said that my way was wrong and I thought I messed up big time. Come to find out this morning I was the right and he was wrong!
Slating - It's Monday morning. I'm exhausted, don't want to work!

@Cherrybee: I was so distraught over my "mistake" too last week, esp b/c no one told me this one step I was supposed to do ! And then it turned out to be wrong anyway!
I hate to find random dings on the car too 
Some really crazy rock made a little dent on our windshield and we have yet to fix it!

Rating: It's our 7 year anniversary today!
Slating: DH is really sick with a stomach bug/cold/flu of some sort...so we're not celebrating

Rating- I'm less than a week from my due date! Feeling so ready to meet this LO and so excited she should be coming along soon.
Slating- DH is sick and I'm keeping all fingers and toes crossed that he recovers quickly because it would suck so bad if he's sick when I go into labor!

Rating: Called the surgeon's office who is doing my gall bladder surgery and was pleasantly surprised to be offered a consult appointment tomorrow. I'm so used to appointments being so far in the future!
Slating: It's going to be a rainy week. And, my belly still hurts a bit from last week's fiasco.

Rating: it's supposed to get up to 80 this week! I love nice weather.
Slating: for the second weekday in a row, DD has had a massive blowout in her carseat JUST as DH gets to daycare to drop her off. At least on Friday, we could wash the cover and not worry about whether it would be dry by the next morning, since we didn't have anywhere we had to be...and the stupid thing is such a hassle to get off and on. Sigh.
