@Mrs. High Heels: I'm going to start Game of Thrones next, I'm excited!
I'm still reading the new Amy Tan book, The Valley of Amazement. I normally love anything by Amy Tan, but I really dislike this book and am having a hard time finishing it! Almost tempted to just stop reading (and start GoT!), but feel bad because my mom got me the book for Christmas.

I'm in the minority that didn't hate the ending of Gone Girl bc I think it's true to the characters in the book. That being said, I don't think it is a happy uplifting story. If you read her other books, that's her writing style. I won't say that she's messed up in the head but she definitely is pretty dark.
I just finished all of the Harry Potter books so I'm at a loss of where to go next. DH really wants me to start GoT but I don't know if I can get into it.

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi is a young adult trilogy but is pretty good. The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes was very good, and I also like anything by Tana French.

@IRunForFun: It has a definite ending, it's just not one that a lot of people were expecting/wanted. I didn't hate it.
I'm giving up on Hands Free Mama. I'm halfway through and finding the author a little too preachy for me. Plus I was/am not even remotely as connected to her devices as she seems to have been, so I can't relate to a lot of it.
I have Far From the Tree at home, but man, that book is HUGE. It'll be REALLY heavy to carry back and forth on the train. I'm considering returning it to B&N and getting it on Kindle. So I'm not sure what I'm going to read next.
@sarahbs: GAH, Tana French is one of my favorites! Love her books! You're like the first person ever (besides me) who has mentioned her in these posts.

I've been working on Grisham's Sycamore Row since sometime in December .. it's just not that interesting. I can't just give up ... but I don't look forward to reading it like I have his other books.

I am reading #15 of the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton. Honestly, I am starting to really hate the books, but I feel committed to the series at this point and just want to get it over with.
