I juat finished the book Room by Emma Donoghue. I'm going to see the movie next week. It was good, I enjoyed it. I'm not sure what I'll read next.

I just power-read (couldn't put it down!) Wool, Shift, and Dust by Hugh Howey. I'm trying to take a break before downloading any more

Currently reading Adriana Trigiani's 'All the Stars in the Heavens' - historical fiction about Loretta Young filming 'The Call of the Wild'.

Just read 'All the Light We Cannot See' by Anthony Doerr, another historical fiction set in WWII time.

@sera_87: Yes! I want to try the shining girls. She's a good writer but that book was far out there.

Currently reading Station Eleven. A little creepy but so hard to put down.

ETA: It's about a flu pandemic that basically brings down civilization... kind of fascinating to read about a world with literally no modern conveniences and how the rest of humanity responds. Reminds me a little of "LOST" with some pretty cool characters.

I'm currently reading The Heart Goes Last by Margaret Atwood... it's typical Atwood. I just finished The Mad Sculptor which is historical crime non-fiction and was engrossed. I think it's a free one through the kindle unlimited

Room was good but I can't say I liked it because I found it really upsetting. I'd really like to see the movie but I don't think I can handle it right now.

I'm in the middle of 3 books (one at work for lunchtime, one downstairs for after baby is in bed, and one upstairs for before bedtime): "In the Kingdom of Ice" by Hampton Sides, about the expedition to the North Pole by USS Jeannette, "It's What I Do" by Lynsey Addario about being a war photographer, and "My Paris Dream" by Kate Betts, about moving to Paris after college. I'm enjoying all of them, although I'd say I listed them in order of most to least engaging.

I just finished "Life After Life" by Kate Atkinson and loooooved it. I loved it so much that I keep getting excited about going home to read it and then remembering I'm finished and being disappointed. It's a bit hard to explain, but it's about a girl born in 1910 who keeps dying and being reborn for do-overs, sort of like Sliding Doors?

I am s-l-o-w-l-y making my way through Goldfinch. I am enjoying it but I never seem to have time to read anything other than school and work material!

I'm also reading/listening to Harry Potter. I'm on book 4 and this is my first time through!

@.twist.: Room is about a woman held captive literally in one room and how she was pregnant/gave birth in that room and raises her son in it for 5 years. It's really good but yeah, a bit disturbing and sad.

You guys I can't decide which one I want to read next. Pick for me ?!!
