I needed a breast pump, white noise machine, NAIL CLIPPER! (those nails grow like weeds and can slash an eye out) and I got the Jolly Jumper Boomerang Nursing Cushion and LOVED it. Couldn't live without it.

@looch Wow, good idea about the changing table in the bathroom! If our bathroom in this house was bigger, that'd definitely be in our (future) plans. As it is now we can barely both fit in there at the same time..heh.

Born in the colder months so that was a necessity. I also loved a good baby tub because bathtime was also great bonding experience. My mom recommended me to use some kind of abdominal band to tighten up my flabby post baby belly, I think that really helped my body a lot.

miracle blanket, pacifiers, Boppy with fuzzy slipcover, baby swing, burpcloths. .. I can't remember anymore, it was so long ago!

The absolute must have in our house has been the white noise machine. We live in a very small house and it definitely helps filter out some of the noise so she can sleep. Until 4.5 months another must have was the summer infant swaddleme wraps. She got out of regular blankets from the very beginning and these were a godsend. One big surprise must have has been the boppy pillow. I didn't breastfeed so I didn't expect to use one but because someone gave me one I started laying the baby on it on the floor and she absolutely loves it. It's been a lifesaver for the times when she absolutely does not want to lay flat on her back.
