Bum Genius Elementals are my favorite! I like BG 4.0s too but baby 2 can't wear them because she has sensitive skin and gets rashes from the fabric!

For our newborn - Lil Joeys

Prefolds with Thirsties or Imagine covers. I like them better than Flips because of the double gussets, and the prefold/cover setup leaks less for us and is easier to wash.

For the newborn stage my favorites were kissaluv fitteds with Imse Vimse or Thirsties covers.

gDiapers and Thirsties covers with inserts.

BGs hands down.

@yin: They're seriously discontinuing them? I knew they got lots of complaints from the new style, but I hadn't heard they were discontinuing them.

I love my old style Elementals for AIOs. I like GMD for fitteds and prefolds. I prefer all cotton diapers.

@autumnlove: still available but won't be making anymore. They will sell them until they're gone. Price went down too.

@Weagle: okay now I'm confused. I get weekly emails from cotton babies, and the last one said that the Elementals are back in stock but not for long (selling the last of them), but if you go on the site they have an updated version. So maybe just the old version is phasing out?
