I am starting baby's library, and I think my first books are going to be Eric Carle... I started looking for a boxed set tonight. I would love other ideas!
What are your favorite books for your LO?

We love Eric Carle in our house. Those have been some of our favorites from the beginning, and the pictures are so vivid that they held LO's interest even when she was itty bitty.
LO is now 17 months and some current favorites include:
time for sleep
green eggs and ham
dr. seuss abcs
the little mouse, the red ripe strawberry and the big hungry bear
there are so many great books out there!

LO goes through phases in what books she loves. So far some of her tops her Goodnight Moon, Sunrise Sunset, anything lift the flap..... and now she loves all books that have Elmo on them. Extra points if Abby is also there.

I love the Eric Carle books. Oliver Jeffers also has some cute ones with fun stories, we have This Moose Belongs to Me and I have the rest of them on my wish list.
LO also likes Little Blue and Little Yellow and Andy Warhol's Colors because they're so colorful. He always makes it through a reading of those books whereas he gets fussy with most other ones.
I also love Oh! The Places You Will Go because it's bright and colorful and has a cool story.

Love Oliver Jeffers, his illustrations are beautiful. I really like Little Blue Truck by Alice Schertle and Brown Bear Brown Bear. Press Here is also a fun one, although it'll probably be more of a hit when he's older.
HOnestly, the books LO likes the most are the ones he can chew on (so any board books!).
