Texts are nice, and so is email. I used to write longer emails, but now my emails are usually a lot shorter (along with my patience). I still enjoy long personal emails, but I always try to keep my professional emails brief.
I don't really like phone calls (unless prearranged), and I detest voicemails. I can't remember the last time I left a voicemail! Maybe 15 years or so.

Texts and face to face. I will have phone dates with friends and family that I can't see often or live in another state.

Text and email. I don't like talking on the phone but there are 2 friends I call to catch up here and there with a longer convo if we can't get yogether .

generally text or facebook! I don't mind emailing, either. I'm always doing something so anything that involves a quick message on my phone is easiest. perhaps not as personal, buuut...such is life with a newborn and a toddler!
@fancyfunction: I don't love talking on the phone either!

Text and email. Some of our texts can be lengthy but it's easy to do while DD is napping.

I'm so glad the day of voicemail is over! Though I remember thinking we were backward growing up when we waited forever to get an answering machine. Also before caller id - that really made answering the phone a gamble!
I have learned to like text a lot for this stage in life. I love long emails but with kids its hard to read or write. But a few years back far-flung girlfriends and I would write novels about love lives etc. Of course we could do that at work

I prefer face-to-face, but many of my closest friends are long-distance. So the second best is long emails.
