A few threads here about how great fiestaware is have inspired me to replace our mish-mash collection - mostly stuff left behind by long departed roommates and freebie coffee mugs - with a proper set of dish ware. But, there are so many color options...what awesome color combinations do you have, or have you seen others use? Thank you!

I have all clover (grass green color) and paired it with a set of patterned salad plates that I loved that are not Fiesta-ware.

We have ivory, turquoise, lapis, lemongrass, and cobalt. (I also have some of the really dark purple, but we don't usually keep those out. Safe to say I have a problem. Haha!)
We love them SO much. They're pretty close to indestructible and hold up great. We love our color combo, too. I stayed away from the yellows/oranges/reds just because I'm more of a jewel-tone girl, but I have friends who have those and love them as well.

We have a rainbow! We also have some plain white plates that aren't Fiesta.

I have a set of coffee mugs, one apiece, in scarlet, tangerine, lemon, shamrock, turquoise, flamingo, and plum. I love them, and we never mix up whose is whose.

Mine is an even combo of:
Turquoise
Cobalt
Shamrock
SunflowerI also have a single random pink one and light green dinner plate that are vintage that someone gave me.

We have flamingo, turquoise, and cobalt. I had the tangerine but I didn't like it anymore and gave it away.

I only have Cobalt but I still love them 7 years in and they've held up great! Something to keep in mind with the darker colors is they show more imperfections. Where we live now our water supply is very mineral-y and leaves residue on EVERYTHING. So the dark dishes tend to get waterspots. Wasn't a problem at our old house though.

I only have a set of coffee mugs (that I totally didn't need, but just HAD to have once I saw the colors). Plum, cobalt, slate, sage, turquoise, and poppy.

@Jennibenni: Yes! My mom has a rainbow (primary colors) and the blue and purple plates show water and scratches the most.

But I don't have many serving pieces, so I've been getting them in fiesta (the flamingo and turqoise area really close). And I have a few things in yellow and blue that I picked up before I had my dishes.

@hb3233: I disagree with that. I think the lighter colors show scratches much quicker than darker colors. I've had my set for 6 years and they still look new

Right now we have Scarlet, Turquoise, and Sunflower. Trying to decide on a 4th color...I'm thinking either Lemongrass or Shamrock!! I also love Peacock but it is probably too close to the turquoise.

I have Scarlet, Tangerine and Lapis. If we get more we'll probably go for Lemongrass. I love a mix of colors!
My advice is to pick popular colors. If you go for the brand new or rare colors, it's hard to find and you end up paying more because you have to buy everything full price. If you go with common colors (like Scarlet) you can often find things discounted or used. For instance, I liked Marigold better than Tangerine, but in stores you always find Tangerine and rarely find Marigold, so that's what we went with.
