My hubby is having surgery a week before Valentine's day, so he'll be busy recovering. I'll be pretty busy taking care of him, LO, and our dog.... plus he'll have to have a very bland diet, so we probably won't even have a special dinner.
But I did get him a gift! A bubble wrap caledar. He loves bubble wrap, I'm very excited to give it to him! I know it's not very romantic... but it's very him.

That calendar is awesome!!! That's a bummer you guys won't be able to go out or anything, but there's always next year. 
My husband and I don't usually do gifts, but we are going out with two of our couple friends the weekend before Valentine's Day, so that should be fun.

I haven't even thought about this! We don't really celebrate VDay in a big way...last year, I think we went to a quiet dinner in our neighborhood last minute. We'll probably make an effort to go to dinner one day - or actually the following weekend we are away and we can celebrate then.

We celebrate Valentine's Day on February 15th. We go out to the stores, buy all the half-price chocolate, and stuff our faces. If there are gifts, they are very practical ones. I got an umbrella with pink dots on it one year (DH thought they were hearts), and I got a jumbo-size bottle of Advil and a box of Sharpie pens last year (all things I enjoy, haha).

Hubs is planning our Valentine's Day as we'll both have the day off, but I have no idea what he is planning. I'm going to give him a gift on "date in a box" where I'll pre-plan (and pay) for a few dates ahead of time that he can use for some of our date nights.

We have never done anything for Valentine's Day. I thought hey, it's our first year married, perhaps we should start. I mentioned it to DH and he laughed at me... he's so romantic...

If I am not in labor or in the hospital after having the baby, we will probably go to dinner and a movie. We are not exchanging gifts this year. Our anniversary was on NYD so we don't see the need to give anything other than candy (or cookies), cards, and flowers.

@redsmarties: I'll be going out the day after for sales too, I want to get lots of pink candy and chocolate rose's for my LO's garden themed 1st birthday!
@SSLM: Awww, maybe you can start a tradition by making a nice dinner. I'm sure your hubby will appreciate it and love the new tradition!
@Fancygem: Wow, that would be such a fun day to have a baby! Our anniversary is on Feb. 28th, and then my birthday is in early March... but I make us celebrate everything. That was something I made sure of before we got married on that date.

@artbee: That would be a cool day to have him. Plus it would be so "us" because we were born on holidays, dating, engagement, and wedding anniversary are on holidays. Last year we went all out, but I don't have the energy this year. But if my hubby wants to surprise me with the diaper bag I had my eye on or an Ipad, he is more than welcome. lol

We are taking that whole week off and visiting friends. We'll see them on the weekends and then have the weekdays to ourselves. We're staying in a romantic inn outside of Park City, UT and are hoping to get some skiing in. It wasn't really a Valentine's Day thing, but just worked out that way!

Well as far as I know the only plans are to go get our ultrasound and find out the gender of our child but DH always does really nice things on vday so who knows what else will happen.

@artbee: I am so excited! Normally I kind of hate Valentines day but now it can't come soon enough. And I really hope this one doesn't give us any problems, we only get one shot and last time we were in there for well over an hour because our daughter was being stubborn!

We don't celebrate on V-Day. We celebrate on Feb 21 which is a combination of our 1/2 wedding anniversary, dating anniversary and Valentine's Day. I like going out at week later because you aren't going out on the same night as everyone else. Don't know what we're doing yet though. Probably just going out to dinner somewhere.

Making it simple this year. We have so much going on now, and planing trips and what not. So we decided no gifts this year.
Just a romantic dinner in!
