this isn't a topic, but i'd love to see another dad blogger, to get another male voice in addition to yours.

I think there's a kindergarten teacher blogger? How about things your kid should know prior to kindergarten? I know there are a few moms on here with older kids who are gearing up for kinder next year (like my eldest)... that would be awesome, thanks!

@NYCaliMama: have you seen this post: http://www.hellobee.com/2012/08/30/kindergarten-101/? or did you mean subject matter?
grapefruit / 4049 posts
@softcream: oh, thanks for the post. looks like that was for kids who are new to going to school. i meant kindergarten readiness, as in what every kindergartner should know... should we be sure they know how to write their name, how to count to 10? 20? 30 or 100?, how to tie their shoe laces, etc...
honeydew / 7488 posts
@NYCaliMama: mom of kindergartener to be here as well. I would love to see older kid topics or general parenting topics featured but do realize this site is geared toward infants and toddlers. But everyone's toddlers are growing right? We're all going to get there sometime right?
@softcream: This link is great, thanks for posting this...
I would love even more detail..Like what does it mean to be emotionally ready for school , etc . What is a child expected to know before entering school?

i just saw that one of the blogs i follow is doing a holiday card swap, which prompted me to google "holiday card swap." and weddingbee showed up. is hellobee planning to do a holiday card swap?

@NYCaliMama: @T-Mom: I'm on it! I'll be breaking it down in a few posts starting next week!

I'd love to see more posts from WOHMs with kids in daycare full-time. How do you juggle it all? Especially with cloth diapering, baby-led weaning, etc....how do you get the daycares on board with that (or don't you)?

Maybe this is along the lines of Littlebug's suggestions, but I would love to see posts about two spouses in demanding careers and/or a post about when one partner in the relationship doesn't have a family-friendly/flexible career path. I don't know if I've missed a past post on this.
I would love something about registry/baby gear suggestions for those living in small spaces. I mean REALLY small spaces.
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@BKCaribBaby: Once our babies are here, I can do some posts about both spouses having demanding careers. (We're both lawyers.)
cherry / 222 posts
I agree with Littlebug and BKCaribBaby, I would like to see more posts about families in which both parents work out of the home full-time and have a commute. My husband and I don't get home until 6.30 and it's a mad dash until baby bedtime routine starts at 7.15...I need advice on how do others do it!!!

@Mrs. Blue: Looking forward to it! I am a recovering lawyer who left law but may be returning to it to work for myself (as crazy as that sounds as I am writing this. What am I thinking?!). DH works in finance, and his work life can be very intense. I have a few friends who are dual lawyer couples, but I'd be interested in hearing other perspectives, too.

I'd love to see a post about how you told your job you would be a SAHM.
Also about how to maintain skills/experience while SAHM'ing so that you will be able to return to work after baby is older.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@Mrs. Cowgirl: @NYCaliMama: love that idea!!! It's great to know those things in advance.
@Sweet T: AGREED. I have always had the hardest time with the one year old stage because discipline is so taboo and often ineffective. Dealing with one years is a huge fear and I am scared for it to come in only 3.5 months!!!
I am loving Mrs. Bees paleo posts- I'd love to see more of those.
I also love photoshoot posts; maternity, family, newborn, etc.
I know a lot of your guys requested WOHM posts... but I need some more SAHM posts!! I am finding myself getting very bored with my son at home all day by myself. I read some of the WOHM schedules and they have about 3-4 hours a day with their child and sometimes I get jealous... I can handle that - but 12 hours alone by myself all day every day is REALLY HARD!!!

@softcream: I remember that on WB and loved the idea!

A run-down or someone's experience with the Chinese post-partum traditions! I always hear it being talked about (I think from @REGBERADAISY) and it fascinates me:) We are Arabs have our PP traditions so it's cool to know someone else does too.

I love reading about people parenting outside of the US - both as expats and international citizens I also like reading about adoption and foster care. I would like regular reading suggestions with different books (I loved reading Nurtureshock) and honestly, less focus on "gear"! I like reading peoples' suggestions to a point, but it's tough balance because I know so much of it depends on your own kid, your own experience, and I'm trying to combat the first time/new mom "buy all of the things" trap!!

@TurtleDoves: Are these posts along the lines of what you had in mind?

I'd like to see more of the group blogger questions where we get to ask a question and then all of the bloggers anwser it in one post.
I'd also like to see some more in depth nursery tours. Maybe show how they have adapted as LO's grow or get siblings added to the mix.
And a big thing: more budget friendly posts. I love seeing diaper bag recommendations but they are just so hard to relate to/get excited about seeing as how I can't spend $300 on one! Same with shoes/maternity clothes/etc.
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@MrsTiz: There will be more of the group blog posts! Feel free to suggest questions for everyone to answer...
Re: budget-friendly posts, do you have any recs to share? We'd love to hear them!

@mrbee: I'm still TTC so I don't have any gear reccomendations, but would love to hear from mamas who already have these things. Even some of our regular posters could come together and make one? Just a thought.. Some things I would like to see recommendations on:
-Diaper bags
-Maternity clothes
-Favorite baby books
-Best toys
-Most used baby/toddler clothes
Not sure if those have been done before, but i'd love to see them be done, or even revisited!
pomegranate / 3983 posts
I'd be interested in some more toddler transitions posts- specifically crib to bed transition, early potty training, and advice about preparing for 2 under 2.
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@MrsTiz: I have some maternity clothes posts on my list of blogs to work on. Also, I'm on a budget, so hopefully some of my posts in the future will line up with some of your suggestions.

I'd love to read more about child development, such as activities and toys for each age range, motor planning, speech, fine/gross motor skills, etc.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
@softcream: I agree, another dad blogger would be cool. I really like @mrbee so another male would be great!
coconut / 8430 posts
Like @banana, I would also love to read a series on activities to do with babies at different stages.
Perhaps also with links to songs, games, etc.
coconut / 8430 posts
Oh and I'd love to read about reviews of different educational philosophies like Waldorf, Montessori, etc and different baby programs like Gymboree.

+1 for more budget-friendly posts. A lot of the posts from guest bloggers feature clothing and accessories that are quite expensive and it's hard to relate to.

I would like to read more posts from single moms, or moms whose husbands are away from home most of the time, and/or who don't have family nearby. How do you handle everything when you don't have anyone to relieve you?

I'd like to see more international bloggers or maybe a military mom (*ahem* I may or may not be working on an application. *ahem*) I feel like it would add some diversity to the team.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
I thought of another one: how each blogger embraces their cultural ethnicity and encourages their LO to do so
And also how to raise your kids with respect and appreciation for diversity. My parents totally sucked at that.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@zippylef: agreed!!! I have a friend who is a military wife and her husband is getting deployed just weeks after she gives birth. I told her she'd make an amazing blogger!

@Coco Bee: DH was supposed to be gone. Another guy volunteered to take his tasking so he could stay and be here.

Behavior/ discipline.
Milestones (less obvious ones -- like when we went to a one-year pedi appointment they had me take a questionnaire about whether he was doing all this random stuff like putting things in other things, rolling/throwing balls, etc. It was fine but I'd like to know what's expected at different ages so we can practice. Like the request about kindergarten readiness.
I am in the super minority I'm sure but I am not crafty at all so DIY, baby clothes, decor, etc just goes right over my head!
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@BKCaribBaby: well, I feel like we may fit the bill on that one!
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@DigAPony: agreed on the budget posts! I love the mini style repurposed posts.
