I read two of the Percy Jackson books! And 50 Shades of Gray, romance novels, teen novels, the twilight series, super nerdy sci fi... pretty much everything I read is embarrassing to some crowd.

@shinymama: haha there's something so great about them. quick easy reads!
@pastemoo: a friend recommended sylvia day's bared to you to me. she said it was better than 50 shades! i haven't tried it yet tho.

I wasn't really all that embarrassed to admit I LOVED the Twilight series... I read them when they first came out so I was a teen... but in my mid-twenties maybe I should be embarrassed?
Also loved Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Gossip Girl!

LOVE Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus. I'm actually re-reading the Heroes of Olympus right now so I can remember what happened for House of Hades. I also really liked Twilight. I only read YA/juvenile fiction, which I guess might be embarrassing to some people, but I love it haha

I used to be embarrassed about my love for romance novels but as I got older, I decided not to care anymore. Bring on the historical romance!

I really like the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella, total "Chic Lit" but easy reads and funny.
I also like the romance novels published under the Harlequin Romance Novels.

The Twilight series...
@Kimberlybee: No way, the Shopaholic series is awesome. It's so funny!!! That's not embarrassing at all.

This is super embarrassing, but I LOVE the Princess Diaries series. For the record, it's way better than the movie, the 2nd movie has nothing to do with the books, and it started when I was in high school. But I still love and re-read them often.

I love Sarah Dessen's books. I know they're for teenagers, but I really enjoy them!

@sorrycharlie: I'm still trying to get through House of Hades! I'm not loving the Percy/Annabeth chapters so far.
@wonderstruck: love the Princess Diaries! They're definitely HS level books with MS covers. Someone messed up that marketing!

Def my most embarrassing are romance novels. I like the historical ones. They are quick, mindless reads for bedtime!

Yeah, totally Twilight and 50 Shades. They're quick, easy, entertaining reads for me, so I loved 'em.

@sorrycharlie: I guess I'm embarrassed that I want to read the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series.

@gingerk: don't be embarrassed! they're so good different from the two movies that are out, too - I think better!

@Mrs. Pen: omg I LOVED the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants! I would steal the books from my younger sister

@sorrycharlie: I've heard the books are really different from the movies, at least the first one. I haven't seen the second one yet, but I was kinda iffy about the first. So I'm glad to hear the books are better. I really need to get the first book already.

@mrsbookworm: I like Sarah Dessen, too. Her books are very similar to each other, but they are pleasant and fun. BTW, I like your name!

The Black Dagger Brotherhood. I'm embarrassed for even my DH to see me read them!

@IRunForFun: Yeah I don't think I read the title of the thread correctly. LOL I was thinking it was about sharing books we read for fun, as in easy reads.
I was hooked on Twilight when it came out. I think I read the entire series within a week.

@Mrs. Pen: ah. The Sister Hood of the Traveling pants...I still have all of the books, haha. It was a feel good series!

@Kimberlybee: I am with you the Shopaholic books were just fun to read. Sometimes you just need a fun, easy, girly book!

@Leialou: YAY! I LOVE the Black Dagger Brotherhood series!!!
I read a TON of young adult books, but I'm not embarrassed by it!
Probably the most embarrassing is my romance novel collection (yes, I have a collection). Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward and the Dark-Hunter series by Sherilyn Kenyon make up a majority of my books. But then I have some REALLY raunchy romance novels that I keep in my bedroom because I'm too embarrassed to let anyone know I own them!! (Club Shadowlands anyone....?)

@Mrs. Pen: I own all of the Twilight and Sisterhood books...and I am a little older than you No shame!
For me, it is a Young Adult series that is similar to Bridget Jones in that it is an English girl writing in a diary. The first one is "Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging". They are SO funny. I think the others are "On the Bright Side, I am Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God" and "Knocked Out by my Nunga Nungas"
