@Rubies: I love Anne. And Gilbert. If I have a daughter one day I want her middle name to be Anne after my MIL. She spells it Ann though. There is no way I can leave off the E!

I wish I had a book that was that great, but I can't think of a single one. I read mostly romance novels.... not exactly life altering stuff.

@prettylizy: I feel the same. I read a LOT and have loved a lot of books, but I can't say one changed my life. I sure do love Harry Potter though.

These are some of my favorites, too!! Also, Little Women, which I've read at least a dozen times, The Secret Garden, and, although very long, Gone With the Wind.

Books on the Holocaust always get to me--in particular, Corrie ten Boom's book "The Hiding Place" and a memoir called "All but my life" by Gerda Weissmann Klein.

Jane Eyre... loved that book and read it multiple times in middle/high school. Not sure if it necessarily "changed my life" though...

Man's Search for Meaning, by Viktor Frankl. Totally changed my life. I truly am a different person now for having read that book.
