We love books in our house, and we do love to take advantage of the library but we also buy books as well. Today we went on the hunt for Little Critter books but had no luck, so I ordered a couple off Amazon. I think I'll get a new Llama Llama board book soon, too.

@looch: we are still making our way through the first Harry Potter. I think we'll try one of the Roald Dahl books next, I think they will be easier for him to understand. I forgot how complex HP is!

We've been working on behavior issues, so Hands are Not for Hitting and another one about calming frustrations. And Pout Pout Fish, which he loves!

I bought them Flora and the Flamingo and I Want My Hat Back for Easter. Most recently I bought Angelina's Birthday and How Do Dinosaurs Say Happy Birthday? to get them excited for their birthday coming up. They are going to be 2 and they are starting to understand the concept of celebrating birthdays (the presents and cake part, mostly). For their birthday I have Flora and the Penguin. I might get another How Do Dinosaurs... book for DS, because he loves those books.

DD2: From Head to Toe (Eric Carle) and Dear Zoo -
We bought a few from Amazon recently. My son is almost 3, and he loves being read to! We got: If Animals Kissed Good Night, Giraffes Can't Dance, and The Pout-Pout Fish
